After negotiations between PM and president Karzai, the border will be opened within few days

That's the cycle. Attack happens, save face, negotiate something useless, border opens. Unless we see any military action this is just useless.

Border, has not been closed since 1962; when we actually had a War with them (and kicked their asses seven ways to Kabul incidentally). Since then "closings" have been customs restrictions, certain crossings etc.
