The Pakistan Air Force is going to deploy its fleet of Chinese JF-17 fighters here.
Its about time that some air assets are placed here, isn't it ?

Looking at developments in south of Pakistan;
First the 5th Sqd was placed with F-16, then 2nd Sqd was given JF-17, Navy raised a new battalion of Marines and made a Naval Air station in Turbat, PAF raised another JF-17 squadron in Samungli.
Bholari should be able to hangar all types of fighters, because it will have all roles to fulfill, from Air Defence to strike inside IAF airpsace to CAS for the Pakistan Army operating in desert and maybe Navy.
PAF Bolari had existed before but PAF was having bird strike issues because of urbanization around PAF Masroor in Karachi so they updated its status to a main operating base (MOB) to shift the aircraft operations load out of the city. PAF Bolari is 150km away from Karachi.
I don't know. I didn't learn it from PDF.
It has a nuclear weapons bunker.
Yes and you approved it ... Even class 2 kid is smarter than you ... PAF platform to deliver nuclear payload is mirrage and you are saying a thunder base air base has nuclear weapon bunker ... What a shitty propaganda
All PAF bases have nuclear bunkers. In fact Bholari does notI don't know. I didn't learn it from PDF.

Just remove illegal squatter settlements around it, and you are good to go.What could be done with Masroor? Perhaps use it as a reserve base for reserve aircraft - aircraft that don't fly much perhaps a large portion mothballed and a few for keeping a reserve retired pilot pool up to scratch. Perhaps a part of that training could take place in Bholari, and a part of it could be done using simulators.
It would be sad if the base was a write-off. F-7PGs / F7Ps / Mirage could play such a role.
After a long gap, Pakistan seems to be upping the ante in the Saurashtra-Kutch region of Gujarat. There have been reports that Pakistan has developed an airbase along the Gujarat border.
The country has developed a modern airfield in Bholari for military aircraft operations close to the border with India in the Hyderabad district of Pakistan's Sindh province. The Pakistan Air Force is going to deploy its fleet of Chinese JF-17 fighters here.
"Though the airfield has been in existence for some time now, activities like intensive flying of combat aircraft is a recent phenomenon," sources told IndiaToday.in. The Pakistani Air Force is inducting a large number of JF-17s from China to match the Indian Air Force capabilities on its eastern front.
Pakistan's Special Service Group (Navy) commandos are also based in the vicinity of the Hyderabad base and have been known for training Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists for carrying out attacks using the sea route.
Following the rapid development on the Pakistan side, the Cabinet Committee on Security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already cleared the setting up of a forward fighter base in Deesa, Gujarat.
The airfield will plug the air gaps on the border but will take at least three to four years to extend the runway, construct fighter pens and other infrastructure.

We know what planes are currently deployed ... As of now mirages have the strike role ... So if they are not there then probably this base is not active for the nuclear role ...You don't necessarily need to store weapons in the base, but you can have an arming facility there. The weapons themselves are generally stored elsewhere.
It's a new base. How would you know what platforms will eventually operate out of it?
Your Mirages are a dying breed. You think you don't have other platforms for this purpose. What was that about shitty propaganda now?

Its very interesting, its a new dimension to the conflict between the two sides. Also, did you notice they mentioned "protecting Kutch".
