Yes, UNSC is still stuck in 1945, but expanding it is generally the same as abolishing.

Countries will give their own logic as to why they should be in UNSC. For example, Nigeria and India may say that they are the most populous countries in Africa and South Asia respectively. Pakistan may say that it is the most powerful Muslim nation and that too with nuclear weapons. Israel may say that it the only Jewish nation.

It will be a total confusion. Simpler would be abolish the UNSC.

Muammar Gaddafi addressed this issue in his UNO speech in 2009. Please do take time and listen to that speech.

Kashmir is cannot have a a better life till they change their seek mentality. They have cleansed 5 lakh Kashmiri Pandit from their houses so as per the law of Karm, they deserve the punishment. I hate those people who think that if they are in majority they have all the right to to operase other people. Their sin is Catching them up. They will suffer more in days to come. I don't have any sympathy for them.

Pandit genocide occurred under Indian State observation so blame the government not the people specially when it is such a heavily policed area.

But which was the police and who was the government? We are the same people with same agenda. Radical mullas announced to kill pundits, foreign funded Hurriyat goons did genocide and police supported them, government did covering job. All are culprit. Now we have a right home minister to deal with this goons. They will pay for their treachery. Justice shall be done.

The reality of this globe is...
1. Nobody has power to abolish it except the nations who created it at least for next 50 years.
2. No nation can survive without being part of it or being on the mercy of it's creators.
3.Permanent members of this body are too powerful collectively and they will never agree to share their power with any one.
Conclusion- Only mercy of top fives, negotiation and costly sacrifice can give a nation permanent member ship and that too WITH OUT VETO POWER.
We like it or not, we all have to live with this bitter reality.

Not really. They are highly divisive and they are creating a feeling of fear among minorities. Did the Congress appease the minorities far too much? Yes, they did. Did Vajpayee do it? No. Vajpayee was a statesman in the Nehruvian mold. Modi is a politician with great marketing skills. Modi also has no opposition and Rahul baba is completely out of his depth. Shah is a murder accused and a tadipaar. Yogi is a hate monger. If you continue to alienate minorities who make up 250 million odd - there will be blowback.
