There isn't much 'homegrown' about it. All major components are procured from other countries. The processor, an ARM, touchscreen, RAM, SSD and other chips will probably be imported from South Korea/China. Pakistan is basically doing only the assembling bit and probably the back cover. And even the assembly line equipment will also be imported. The OS, as you are already aware, is not developed in Pakistan either. The only Pakistani input will probably be a fairly useless Android app developed in the Eclipse IDE (not developed in Pakistan, nope) with gawdy menubars thrown in to the lot. I would love to be proven wrong but you can check it yourself.
Back in October 2011 a private manufacturer started assembling a ridiculously cheap (2500 INR) similar tablet named 'Akash' (sky) in India with parts imported from East Asian countries. And Indian media started the usual monkey dance with our 'homegroan' tablet. Homegrown my a$$.
