Pakistan Army testing MBT-3000 next moth ?

. .
Yes AK-1 is confirmed, but Chinese NORINCO on their exhibition stall will show MBT 3000 / VT4.

No AK-II.
The upgradation which HIT did in 2010 were done under the name Al Khalid not Al Khalid 1 the AL Khalid 1 which would be shown in IDEX 2014 will be pretty much a new Tank

.
VT1/Al Khalid/MBT 2000 to VT4/Al Khalid 2.

Nice nomenclature propoganda

Contract isn't signed as license production ... It is signed as JV (so in JV there is no license fee)

We all know al-khalid was not developed from scratch. It's based on Chinese Type 90-II. No doubt it's a full transfer of technology from China to Pakistan. If Pakistan don't pay licence fee, what will China get from this so called Joint Venture?

.
it is not even tested yet, how you came to conclusion it would be inducted? The induction of chinese systems has not been easy for Pakistan. We had to do so many changes that it became funny. The Alkhalid story is a classic example of this. Lets count what Pakistan had to do once type-90IIM was considered as "acceptable" for induction.

* HIT was to make 70% of the tank with indigenous and foreign systems

* Engine and transmission (Ukrainian), transmission control (indigenous)

* Armour (mix of indigenous, ukrainian and chinese, AK-1 has indigenous modules)

* Main gun is again based on ukrainian KBA-3 tech, no wonder both guns have metal blanks imported from France. This gun is better than Chinese zpt-98 and Russian 2a46-M4 in general characteristics such as barrel life and chamber pressure and accuracy

* FCS is hybrid, based on French and indigenous technologies, ARSF is responsible for FCS manufacturing in Pakistan since early 2000s

* Thermal imagers are French, Chinese thermal imagers were of poor quality, even the one fitted in VT-4 is of low quality. Entire mbt fleet in Pakistan from Alkhalid, Alzarrar and T-80ud are using French (Catherine FC, Sagem Matis) and Italian (Alzarrar, Thetis) imagers, none is using Chinese ones. Even passive sights are made in house

* First time Chinese saw the Alkhalid with a battle management system in 2005, they barely believed it. Even environment control system was installed since 2003. No chinese mbt to date has an environment control system ;)

* autoloader is all electric with solid state controls, bir direcitonal movement, original AL was prone to jamming, slow and uni directional movement.

* Yes Chinese have helped us to a great deal in ammo manufacturing (125mm guns) but so has Ukrainians (KBA-3 gun) and Romanians and Polish (105mm, 100mm guns) and others. Since 2001, pakistan is self sufficient in tank ammo manufacturing/ upgrading and prototyping of new rounds. ;)

These are some "salient" changes that Pakistan had to take to convert the Type-90IIM into Alkhalid. Do you still believe Pakistan is going to take the same headache again for VT-4??

By the way, the "rumour" is yet to be confirmed.

I don't get your point? Am I saying Chinese made the best tank in the world? What do you want to prove to me?

And there are some funny points in your statement. For one: "We had to do so many changes that it became funny". So you tell me why Pakistan chose to base it's AK on Chinese 90-II not Ukraine or other country's Tank? The decision is funny, don't you think? And why Pakistan has been working with China for inducting Chinese technology since very long ago and to date? Does it look funny to you as well?

Clear this .....T-90II Chinese Project was a FAILURE...it was a failed tank, and T-90II was based on Russian T-72 tech with T-59 roots, not Chinese really... when Pakistan bought the license and it started to build AK MBT, it was basically unsuccessful project to a successful one. And lets be precise, AK almost 80% is none Chinese...Pak has spend millions on Al-Khalid Project to date.

Am sure MBT3000 to Al Haider MBT will also be a complete change over, but in this case Chinese input would be 50%, I guess, as T-99/T-96 / VT4 proven to successful project. Lets wait and see.

Are you pretending to be someone?

I asked only one simple question: What will China get from this JV? Answer it!

And I ask you a more similar question, What is Chinese which is actually RUSSIAN imported. Stop pretending to be some one.

And donot start me on, what Pakistan has given in terms of its contribution to western and Pakistani own technology to China.

China got MBT 2000 out of this JV project which it sells to other nations.

AK is now 80% Pakistani Project, with Ukrainian mostly, and Chinese input

I don't know why you pretend to know something when you actually know nothing. Should I remind you that JF-17 is also evolved from a failed project Sabre-II and which is based on J-7 and which is a copy of Mig-21, not Chinese really... But still, Pakistan kept importing J-7PG which is another copy of Mig-21, not Chinese really... from China in the first decade of 21th century?

You are a shame...

Now I'm wondering whether you are a true Pakistani or not? But, maybe you are, just being too proud to be a smart person. Anyway, it's my last reply to you. No point to talk to a moron.

JV include project fee ... License fee is different

Pakistan might have paid project fee

Whatever the name is, it's open to debate. My point is: no one can make a modern tank overnight. The Indian Arjun is a good demonstration. The Chinese also went a long way in developing its MBT and finally offered a tank which you can say is close to the modern Western tank standard in many ways at the time. PA benefited greatly from the JV with China who had transferred the whole technology to Pakistan. But JV means both sides should benefit from it. It's all very natural that no Chinese company will do it free of charge. I'm not saying China has offered Pakistan the most advanced tank in the world or has transferred to Pakistan the state of art tank technology. That's certainly not the truth. But no matter how you are not satisfied with the performance of it. You have to buy it because you do not have it. You can improve it by replacing all of the components or whatever you like. But it won't be free of charge just because you are not happy with it. Is this so hard to accept? I don't know why some abroad Pakistani members here have gone so crazy about it? I think maybe the Western anti-Chinese propaganda has done a great job in this...

"And donot start me on, what Pakistan has given in terms of its contribution to western and Pakistani own technology to China. China got MBT 2000 out of this JV project which it sells to other nations."
That's the most shameless word I have ever heard from a Pakistani. What kind of an animal dare to say these words?

.
This tank is the BOMB i have seen its functioning and whats it capable of it would be great in Pakistan's AC arsenal.

yeah right, the bomb, explain further about some performance parameters please.
