Both didn't stand a chance. PAF offensive went with hardly 3 dozen aircraft, even though we had 270 available. IAF aircraft were already in HAS, so nothing less than bunker busters would have mattered, and we didn't have them.

Moreover, 2 corps offensive would have run out of stream midway, and would have been severely mauled by IAF, since we had hardly any airfield for its air cover. Many PSOs in GHQ weren't even aware of 2 corps plan. It was just conjured up at the last moment without any plan and coordination. Speaks alot about our planning abilities.

What about know, would the army still make those mistakes or they learned atleast a little bit from now.

Excellent if true - and the right decision. Washington can talk to Afghanistan alone - need need for proxies. USA spent alot of time speaking to them in Qatar already.

This approach is in the national strategic interest of Pakistan aswell.
