Pakistan Army destroyed a Radio tower in Afghanistan

Pakistan Army has destroyed a radio tower near Pak-Afghan border which was being used to spread anti-state propaganda.

The Umar FM Radio Tower was destroyed along the Pak-Afghan border by security forces


Currently there is no info on how it was destroyed but the anti-state radio has been neutralized.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army on Friday destroyed a radio tower near the Pak-Afghan border that was being used to transmit anti-state propaganda.

“The Umar FM Radio Tower was destroyed along the Pak-Afghan border by security forces,” sources said. They added that the move would stop the transmission of “hostile, anti-state propaganda”.

Never heard of it when we were there, except for the allowed smuggling of different things on a limited no of Khachars/ Donkeys per day as the local had no other source of income, it was to continue till 2018 and legitimate business established, don't know what happened afterwards though.

I am talking about in 2010 2011 when Mangal Bagh ran a smuggling ring plus he would also collect tax from local low level smuggler using the Khachar smuggling routes in the Khyber agency area. Now his ring is completely destroyed.

To be honest, Agencies don't yet have Internet, Cable etc Infrastructure even though it's being constructed, the only method of entertainment was FM, am from Swat many of my relatives used to listen to the FM, and many would listen to Fazalullah, now just think when you have no other means of varifying of facts you tend to listen, people do get radicalised like this, heck western IsIs attackers got radicalised through internet.
All means aval to the tangos should be strangled, simple, nothing should be overlooked.
