Pakistan Army deploys Shahpar II Armed UAV in Balochistan to hunt down militants

Earlier this month, BNA shared video of what appeared to be rocket motor of an exploded munition following the strike that killed 6 of their militants including senior commanders

Screen grabs from the video:

Taking a closer look at Barq munition carried on the wing of Shahpar II made it more concrete that Pakistan has indeed deployed drones to hunt down militants. Choice of weapon is not TB2 from what it seems like and here is why:

Tail and fins pattern along with Rivet location matches with Barq found at the attack site

Comparing that to MAM L - smart munition carried by TB2:

These smaller drones will be essential for coin in Baluchistan. They can also provide cover to patrols and outposts.

What's in a name? A drone strike is a drone strike no matter who operates it....

Turkey is planning to operate an unmanned defense force. Pakistan may try that too. From Un-known to Un-manned.....
AI will revolution defense using drones. Imagine AI patrols of TB2 loitering around in Pakistan's eastern desert borders. Any Indian T-72 or T-90 would have little chance of getting very far. India's cold start doctrine would be countered at little cost in resources.

I don’t think it falls under PAA in the strictest sense but I could be wrong.

Who then operates the drones? Army Aviation? (Unlikely)

Or has a new unit been raised?
Larger drone are operated by specialised drone detachments and company’s.
Smaller ones are organic to the particular arm. For instance spotter ones are used by artillery and tactical surveillance by infantry.
@PanzerKiel would know best.

Operating from PAF base may not indicate PAF ownership. Sharing bases and assets is fairly common now thanks to a lot of good people(who faced a lot of pushback and jeering too and @PanzerKiel can keep me honest) working tirelessly to promote and implement inter services operability.
Seth culture in Services? Who could've guessed! I thought the Military was one big family :P

i think PAF is operating ISR version only, correct?
Any indication these drones are being equipped with Persistent Wide area Surveillance systems?; to track back the origin of these attacks as well as follow the miscreants that come to see what happened to their commanders as in the first post of this thread.

PAF ISR drones with these capabilities could get inside the OODA loop of the miscreants faster and hand off targeting data to the armed PA drones, speeding up the kill chain.

Aik baat batain yeh truck per la ker ana zaroori hota ha Indian Tejas ki tara? Is it a security protocol or lack of confidence?

I suspect for the parade, if they flew a small drone, it wouldn't be much to look at? or maybe they could fly it really low.

Security protocol, safeguarding of frequencies on which they are being controlled, frequency deconfliction as part of other electronic devices being present in the parade area... Just some of the evident reasons.

It’s basically across Pakistani work culture of not wanting interference in their domain but commenting on others. So the of inter operability got some old and/or less than bright officers insecure about their domain and just having to add on tasks to their otherwise routine lives. I still remember laughing(nervously) at a Col(either inf or arm) who back in 2006 claimed he isn’t worried about IAF because the F-16s will save him and he has a man with a stinger with him just in case.
