It sometimes happens but I heard it my self that the reason was water level rising

It happened to me also . Some 10 yrs ago. While duck hunting near chakri....we were crossing sawan to go to the other side... while it rained in isb /murree.
We were un aware of this...
Suddnely water level rose and current became faster... but we were more then half way across..also we knew swimming.. but its like dragging an elephant with all the gear and gun. In water...
We got lucky that the current pushed us to other end half a mile down ...
Where was rescue 1122..
The helicoptor was not roaming around when it happened???
So how come people called army??
Heard a littel on video.. that the rescue boat moter didnt start??

You can divert this flooded rivers water to other parts of the country using dams and canals..?
Why isn’t this possible..?

Drought, water shortages and floods , how can all this happen at once.

Pakistani Politicians are diverting, all the money they possibly can and as fast as they can to foreign bank accounts

The localities you are blaming are the most beautiful and well planned localities of Pakistan. Why are you maligning these societies because of the foolishness of this family which entered river the wrong way ? I think you are showing your malice at the wrong place and moment.


Some anti Pakistan/ Anti army person has written these remarks. Must be kicked in his behind for trying to sow the seeds of mutiny in the nation.

I dont dispute their beauty.. but it doesn’t take away their bad practices against both poor land owners and the environment.
The family is irrelevant to the sawan river’s plight.

No one is stupid to place their lives in danger on purpose and if some one gets stuck in a difficult place he should be helped. these people never knew that they will get in such a situation and it was a good effort by Pakistan Army to rescue them. Criticism is good but human life has more value.
