Pakistan Army Armoured Corps makes Military history, unprecedented World Record

they dont want to admit it but Pakistan has done more then ever of its fair share of fighting terrorists and defeating them. SO much so so american soldiers are getting counter insurgency trainning by PA.

but its just easier to blame Pakistan for all US failures in Afghanistan. They needed a bogeyman in the reigion and that was Pakistan.

India has done nothing for AFg in the last 17 years except spread, financie and arm systematic terrorism into Pakistan. Yet they are the victimes not us.
Bro, reality is much complex: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/the-afghan-talibans-relationship-with-pakistan.595245/

With return of Taliban, ISIS-K in the picture, and terrorist incidents being a norm in the region, I am not sure what all stakeholders have achieved and learned over the last 18 years. It looks like things are back to square one again. I am utterly disappointed.

what square one boss ?
Pakistan goverment, countless pm's and the army and ISI has told the world for the last 17 years, there will be no peace in Afg till Afg Taliban are part of disucssions and the peace process.
They have tried and tried and nothing has happened till Trump finanly had enough and realised Afg Taliban are more influenctial then the rag tag goverment of Kabul whos own secuirty guards end up killing them.

Afg is a shit whole and will always remain one, until and unless Afghans stop killing each other no other country can do anything for them.

Pakistan needs to send back all Namak Haram Afghan living in our cities studying in our educational establishments and seal the border.

Translation:"I'm a Pakistani who likes war and conquest and distracting people with 'Zionist' labels while taking everything I can."
I don't care either you are a Pakistani/Indian/Israeli/Arab etc., what you expressed on this forum/thread, that is taken as concern.

And you wonder why Pakistan has a problem with corruption?
Corruption is not only concern of Pakistan, it is a world issue. You are miserably failed by wondering that corruption is Pakistan's issue and also reflects your erroneous approach to world's real problems/issues.

It looks like it's being used as an immovable firing post - a howitzer would have been more sensible, right?

I think I'd be more impressed with a story about the challenge for the tank to deploy at that altitude - and the story of the soldiers who pulled it off.

Also not so thrilled with the "capture" of the peak last year - it puts the lie to Pakistan's claims of non-aggression.

You don't have to be impressed , you don't have to be thrilled you don't have to think or do jack , if PA has put tanks at peaks that high then it knows what its doing it is one of the best armies in the world. They don't need to justify anything to you nor any of us in regards to there operations and sacrifice to Pakistan period.

It has made a world record by deploying tanks on the highest elevation level of 12,000 feet above sea level. This is the feat that has remained unaccomplished otherwise.

The deployment has come as part of the Pak Army’s strategy in the war against the terrorists. The step has been undertaken by the armored regiment of Pakistan Armored Corps.

The tanks made their way to Brekh Muhammad Kandao Pass, a part of the Koh-e-Safed, which is 3,176 meters above the sea level and is opposite to Torra Bora mountains of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.

The Afghan's claim all territory in Pakistan till the Western bank of the Indus, despite the Afghan-Pakistan border (as demarcated under the Durand Agreement) being the internationally recognized border. Pakistan can't give into Afghanistan's ludicrous whims and fancies.
What about the P.A.'s whims and fancies? According to the article the P.A. didn't occupy the pass because terrorists occupied it or attacked from it: the purpose was described as "strategic" rather than tactical. Why exacerbate relations with other countries just to make a "first"?

Did you miss the part where the PA took control of the pass from ISIS/JUA terrorists and how it borders a region in Afghanistan that is a sanctuary for ISIS/JUA terrorists?

The above is more than enough justification to deploy troops to control the pass and prevent movement of terrorists into Pakistan.
