The General Staff and High Command of a Military is not a monarchy, in essence it is a well lubricated machine that works with all parts fit for action.Pak mil has produced geniuses like Gen Tariq Khan, Hamid Gul, Ao Mitha, Ihsan ul Haq, and Raheel Sharif among others.
Pakistan has produced some good field commanders and tactical masterminds, yet the GHQ has largely flopped due to not working as a unit, and following the say of one man, or a group.
Kargil was a very apt example of how the High Command failed it's men, left them to die for absolutely no strategic gain. They fought much better than the Indians in face of all odds, yet we don't have a goddamn memorial to recognize their sacrifices.
Currently Bilal Akbar and Nadeem Raza seem to be the top guns of the redtape brass. Anyways was just an opinion.
