Pakistan and the TTP (Taliban) in peace talks?

Pakistani Taliban spokesman denies peace talks - Yahoo! News

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A Pakistani Taliban spokesman and another commander have denied the group is in peace talks with the government.

The militants contacted The Associated Press by telephone Sunday, a day after Maulvi Faqir Mohammed, recognized by many as the Pakistani Taliban's deputy chief, announced the group was negotiating with the government. He was the first named commander to confirm talks.

Spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan denied Mohammed's claim, saying there would be no talks until the government imposed Islamic law.

Mullah Dadullah identified himself as the Pakistani Taliban's chief in the Bajur tribal area. He also denied talks.

Maulvi Faqir Mohammed has long been identified as the group's Bajur head. But he reportedly fled to Afghanistan in recent years to escape army operations.

Goes to show how successfully/deeply the ISI has managed to penetrate inside the TTP & split them.

We don't want peace with the Pakistani Taliban either. Scumbags have killed too many civilians to walk away.

I would say better take then with the tactic called divide and conquer and let them kill each other rather than we endangering our soldiers.
No doubt they will protect us with their lives but when it can be avoided we should avoid it.

Exactly, we can do peace talks with Afghan Taliban but these TTP douche bags deserve to be ganged banged in the butt and Pak Fauj will do the job!

Everything If its done for national interest is neccesary..... "Even Negociation with a group"
TTP and NETO had attacked in Pakistan various times only for there interests....What we have done for ourselves?
We are the one who interfere in this U.S's war on terror... and Payed alot...

I would be happy if we didn't engage in peace talks with the TTP. But let the ISI break them from the inside like it's been doing, it'll be better if they kill each other off without the PA shooting any bullets.

Epic propaganda by the west once again - the talks has been successful and there's ceasefire already in place. See the US/West on a rampage of rants in the coming days.

If they don't want peace, then our forces will show them the Hell on Earth ...... They will meet their terrible fate very soon inshaAllah.

Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabaad...... :pakistan: :pakistan: :pakistan: :pakistan:

Some of them want peace and some of them don't. Like Faqir Muhammad give different view and Dadullah give different. What is important at the current point of time regardless of how much hatred we have about them we should not allow others to use TTP to go against us. That should be the priority of Pakistan and in that sense if we are negotiating with them than we are doing the right thing.

US/CIA just cant stop their itching , now that their plan to use TTP was foiled by ISI they now just want to keep the fire alive.

Well Good luck US&A, This is a fight you are not going to Win.

and to help TTP to break-up, the most active group will be targeted relentlessly making other groups to cower and go dormant.

They are already fractured, in their prime time any outlaw in Swat or tribal areas will start terrorising the public under the name of Taliban. This trend saw a major setback due to operation rah e rast and operation rah e nijat and many pseudo sectarian terrorists were either killed by the security forces or by other terrorists due to the turf wars and infighting. But still Hakim ullah mehsud and Mullah Fazlullah run the most brutal and effective groups & the only solution is their elimination.
