PAKISTAN: Afghans Find Their Welcome Running Out

pakhtoonistan.jpg

we gave them roti and freedom and they made billboards of being traitors, if they dont leave kill them all and dump them in kabul..

.

how do you explain this?

pakhtoonistan.jpg

Why you guys couldn't understand that this is not what you are talking, this is just a sign of friendship & unity of Pakhtons and nothing else. Pakhtons were ever our brothers, faithful and honest to Pakistan and we are a unity. It doesn't matter that its Pakistani Pakhton or Afghan Pakhton but they are brave people who ever fight for the sovereignty of Pakistan so don't give negative colour to this brotherhood.

balochstan is not a pashtun province, its a baloch province, so why the balochistan is there..

also if we see billboards of indian map with sindh and punjab excluding the other provinces, will this not indicate a sort of divided mentality??

bullshyt right???

Dear DV Rules, No objection to brotherhood between the 2 pashtoons as long as it doesnt include break up of pakistan(which i think that is the ultimate idea anyway), that is all fine. But looking at that map, why are they including Balouchs, Tajiks and Hazaras?

That was time when a plane to divide Afghanistan discussed by US & NATO policy maker where they dreamed to attach Baluchistan, tribal areas & north of afghanista they wanted to separate Pushton from Persian speakers but Pakistan very strongly opposed and warned over this plane, map shows the idea from that policy but idea is broken where Afghan itself opposed this policy.

It will not gonna happened & more over we are respecting the sovereignty of Afghanistan in border he exist.

This is not some American policy maker's map, this map has been present on the streets of Peshawar, Bannu and other parts of KPK. Dismissing everything as an American/Western/NATO conspiracy is simply foolish, and has no bearing with reality. While I agree there is no eminent threat to Pakistan, there certainly are nationalistic elements amongst some Afghan and Pakistani Pashtuns, and these need to be taken care off.

Frankly, Pakistan has matured over time; we have gotten over our ethnic and lingual differences. All Pakistanis from different ethnicities can communicate with each other by using Urdu, unlike India where South Indians from various states cannot communicate with North Indians as many of them don't know Hindi. Urdu is the perfect, neutral language, that does not favor any one ethnicity, and serves as a unification for ethnicities.

For us, ethnicity for the most part has become a non-matter. We are Pakistanis and Muslims first, which is a far stronger bond than ethnicity can ever be. We consider every Pakistani as our brother equally, regardless of what his ethnicity is or what their social standing (financially) is. Look at how much other Pakistanis have sacrificed for their brothers affected by the earthquakes in 2005, and the floods in 2010. These are the things we should be proud of: united we stand, divided we fall.

1.Well if you agree completely then you better edit your post. Civilians death is no joke.

2.What Qadri did was an individual act. He is in jail and the guy can't escape punishment. Case closed! No point of dragging Taseer and Qadri again and again. He is not the first guard in the history who opened fire on the leader if you know what i mean.

3.I don't think that i need to elaborate my point. Afghanistan is still not a place where anyone can live but Pakistan for all it's problems is still a refuge for them. That's why Afghans don't want to go back right now.

4.As for Rahul statement, i think you should be concerned about it specially after the latest confessions and findings in case of Samjhota express incident. Regardless of their support, they are still a danger specially for Indian Muslims.

5.I am also stating a fact. No offence!

1. I agree and yet I will not change a single word.
I have not supported death of innocents anywhere in the post, requesting you not to go moral on me!

2.I'm not dragging the late Mr. Taseer, he died for what he believed in. But the day Indian public supports a lunatic like that in such emphatic manner, I'll be more than concerned.

And the reason is explained by the second part of your post. We have suffered on this very path to self destruction. There were people who supported the man who killed Mrs. Gandhi and there were those who supported the congressis who killed innocent Sikhs.

The result is that Punjab burned for more than a decade...........

3. That does explain it. Having extreme asymmetry with your neighbors is never good; especially if you can't seal the border.

4. If Rahul had said his take on Hindu terrorism after the Asimanand confession, I'd have taken him more seriously. But it's the reverse and new allegations of forced confessions have emerged. Congress never plays fair.

If Aseemanand is saying the truth, let him hang. And if Sangh is behind this, ban them as well. The day it is proved and someone starts defending Aseemanand, I'll tackle them wherever I can.

I do object to the term "regardless of the support", I think the amount of support a fanatic/s can get from a society is a major determinant in the future of the fanatic's ideology.

5.None taken! I'm an Indian on PDF!;)

I just hope the unregulated influx of Afghan refugees doesn't stimulate "Pashtunistan" tendency and ideology. With people come ideas. Pakistan has to regulate it's refugee population. I know some "patriotic" Pathans will say there is no chance, well your right there isn't a chance of a "Pashtunistan" forming thanks to Pakistan army. I am talking about the idea being stimulated and indoctrinated among Pakistani Pathans by the Afghan Pathan brethren.

The Afghans have to be profiled/documented, where they are living and allowed to live, and must have ID card refugee status, things of that measure will help to regulate influx of refugees.

.
We host them and they reward us with bombs, opium and AK-47 culture, terrorism and corruption. Next time there is occupation of Afghanistan we shall not open our borders to them. As well the twenty or something years charges of hosting Afghan refugees shall be calculated and sent to Hamid Karzai. If they refuse to pay then we we should levy heavy transit duties on their trade with india and usage of sea port.

.
economy is not doing so great at this moment and inflation is high; under-employment is almost as dangerous as un-employment

many of these Afghans come and take local jobs. So for economic reasons, it could be resentment among a few which is natural.

Afghans make some illegal land encroachments too as far south as Karachi and even in the twin cities.

Afghans who simply take the initiative to register with NADRA should be welcome, but at some point should plan to return home. Those who have no ID cards, and especially those who have previously been caught doing illicit/criminal or other miscreant activity should be giving a strong kick on their a$$ and sent back to their own country

Ok tell me who allows this map to be advertised on the streets of Peshawar, Bannu and other part of KPK? Such propagandized sketches can't be publicized without third or fourth party support. If you look yourself so mature then posters like that must not be on streets! It means you still not mature or you closing eyes only to say "ethnicity for the most part has become a non-matter." you are still relax just like Mughal emperor said "Hanooz delhi door ast" This all scenario is not self created.

I am not pointing everything on USA, but his influence to change geographical lines also can't ignore. Pakistan situates in center where every third or fourth problem line is connected with USA or India. You know why Peshawar suffered from series of Blasts, you know why Pakistan inserted his forces into tribal areas, you know why operation Raherast and Rahenijat carried out? You know why Baluchistan handed over to Military?

Just draw all situations on paper and match with map you found on the streets and make some conclusion, may be a picture will clear to you. Reality has to accept.

well said sir, well said......

and very good points

I know we haven't done much to help Afghans , we even betrayed Bacha Khan and forced him to accept Pakistan. We are doing few things now, but thats not enough. But one thing for sure we didn't hurt Afghan interest.

umm.....yes you did you backed the soviet invasion of afghanistan and also encouraged pashtunistan issue it backfired pakistan (it's largest
trading partner) crushed their invasion and closed the border and the afghan economy came to a standstill. You've hurt a-stan as much as us only difference you did it a while ago we did it more recently.

1.By the way i think that i replied to some Punjabii munda and here someone else is replying. Looks like u r using multiple IDs?

2.In your first reply, you used a smiley while talking about violence in Pakistan. Was there any need for that?

3.How will you like if i talk about some tragedy in India and use happy smileys for that?

4.Kindly stick to the topic. I will not reply you further.

1. I have not defended the guy. Yes, on this forum where polarization is extereme we do get hasty in classifying people. Please don't make that mistake.

And what was that stuff about multiple IDs? Ask anyone frequenting the India section about my credentials.

2.Ma'm, with all due respect, that is a lie. :disagree:

Here is my post..

@ Ahmad'

Generalization is the easy way out for hate mongers. National prototyping makes it easy for them to keep the hatred burning.

Anyway, here is one of the best portrayals of Afghan people living out of their country (though it too suffers a bit from prototyping).

Kabuliwala by Rabindranath Tagore

Everytime I read this story, I get emotional. Please read it, mate. And let me know what you think about it!

That smiley was not for any civilian death, was it?
It was for the great author Rabindranath and the great story Kabuliwala. why was it offensive?

If at all I have done what you allege in any of my posts, then please quote and I'll immediately correct them with an apology.

Please do not make such allegations.

3. It is infuriating. I am aware of the feeling.

4. Agreed. Sorry for the diversion, let us hope to continue this discussion elsewhere. Last post from me, too.

Peace.
