The Russians have been fielding ESA radars much longer than the Americans. Remember the Mig-31? Followed by the Su-30MKI, then Su-35. They may be PESA, but they are still ESA radars. They have already developed a whole lot of AESA radars, at least 3, they are simply unable to find buyers because their buyers can't afford it in the numbers that would make its production feasible. The first non-PAK FA AESA will be fielded on either the Su-30MKI first or the Mig-35, both dependent on either a large Indian or Russian order.

The stuff being flight tested on PAK FA today is still undergoing development for the F-22 for its MLU in the mid 2020s. And there's still stuff present on the PAK FA today that is not even present on the F-35, like DIRCM and UV detectors. But it's really the new engine that's going to be a game changer.

Just 3 the US building at least 5 to 6 AESA currently and building since mid 90's first AESA is for UAE AF block-60, i am not about PEASA but AESA, go do some research before you b@rk here you stubborn @randomradio

People like the IAF Air Marshal, the French Air Chief, Dassault's VP and CEO won't be risking their reputation and the reputation of what they represent like that.

The Americans screwed up. That's why they think the F-22 and F-35 are going to be useless after 2030. If that wasn't the case, we would have been looking at the restart of the F-22 production line again.

And what makes Rafale a 5th gen is also because of its sensor package and sensor fusion. Spectra is only a part of the whole package.

Remember, only Rafale is advertised among all 4th gen airframes as having stealth capability.

No other aircraft is advertised like this. This document was made available to the officials of various air forces in an air show. You can't simply claim stuff like this if it wasn't true.
