Pak visit for specific, narrow purpose: US Dy Secy of State

“It’s for a very specific and narrow purpose, we don’t see ourselves building a broad relationship with Pakistan. And we have no interest in returning to the days of hyphenated India, Pakistan. That’s not where we are. That’s not where we’re going to be,” she said while speaking at the Ananta Aspen Centre in Mumbai.

I guess the messaging from the other side is fairly clear.

:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:...........BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!.........Please americans, LEAVE US ALONE and have 0 relationship with Pakistan...........8-)

. . . .
USA is no one in our area now . they have been kicked out just a month ago

They may have left Afghanistan, but have a look around and they are everywhere; Middle East, south east asia etc...

USA has only one interest, and that is to retain their dominance and ensure Dollar remains the world's reserve currency.

They will not accept any threat or challenge, present or future to that position.

Remainder of white race, gets acceptance and spoils as a consequence of accepting that position.

What should be alarming is that Pakistan and India are opposing sides of this cold war; and are armed with nuclear weapons.

Right right well get ready for a twinge. at least they are honest about their treacherous thoughts so no more ally qualm is left in our mind.

.
Just stay quiet and accept this as a transactional relationship.

That IMF loan is very important otherwise we are looking at USD going to 200.

I have always wondered why Pakistani officials don’t allow media access to visiting US officials, for example joint press conferences. Perhaps, it’s an attempt to avoid such blatant embarrassments.

Pakistan is content with putting out its traditional bland statements that “country x appreciates Pakistan’s sacrifices and constructive role in Afghanistan” when the facts are clear no one appreciates anything about Pakistan.

.
like i said... we are headed towards a China-Russia block

Typical mindset instead of realizing the gravity of the situation. Such harsh statements are a precursor to sanctions, etc. I won't be surprised if she's coming here to only let the Pakistani leadership know that sanctions are coming.

There will never be a "Russia-China" block. Russia is building direct oil and gas pipelines to provide oil and gas to Europe directly worth many billions a year. Just one example, something they never did before. Additionally, they are about to start supplying Europe with access to their space and other infrastructure too. This would boost up the Russian economy. They can't tick off the US to jeopardize their economic growth.

For US, I've said it many times and got laughed at. Pakistan is history and QUAD / India takes precedence over all nations the US is connected to, outside of NATO. I'd say India to US is more important than many NATO countries. The Russians offered the US bases just recently so it's very obvious that the Russians are going in for economic benefits. They will do exercises with China but won't be a part of a "block". Nor the Chinese will fight the US.

Pakistan needs to wake up and work hard to achieve their foreign policy objectives and to grow trade. Time for military to military relationships is over.

Imran khan used to brag but i doubt he has the guts to cancel the meeting. If he has the guts he will totally ignorebher and dont let any major official meet her. Let her stay in the embassy n waste her time.

Pakistan can't compete with Indian influence in the U.S not only because of India's geo-strategic value to the U.S but also the huge Hindu Nationalist diaspora in America. That voting blac is financially strong and vehemently anti-Pakistan.

You are right though that we must avoid sanctions at all cost. Pakistan has too many faultlines that the Americans can exploit.
