Pakistan to raise Modi’s statement at UN - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

ISLAMABAD: The prime minister’s adviser on national security and foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz, on Monday said Pakistan had decided to bring the Indian prime minister’s statement to the notice of the UN.

In his statement, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi had admitted that they played a part in the break-up of Pakistan in 1971.

“We will move the UN,” said Sartaj Aziz while talking to mediapersons at the inaugural session of 10th meeting of Heads of University Grant Commission/Higher Education of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc). He ruled out talks with India on its terms.

“Dialogue with India would be of no use if it does not cover Kashmir and water issues,” he added.

Following Modi’s statement, Islamabad has been urging the international community to take notice of India’s admission to interfering in former East Pakistan, which became Bangladesh in 1971.

“We want a tension-free relationship,” Mr Aziz said, adding but India opted for anti-Pakistan, hawkish and hostile approach.

“They fight elections on the basis of anti-Pakistan statements,” he said.

there is no doubt modi is doing tall this to increase his vote bank but Pakistani govt should take advantage of this and raise this issue at every forum which the international audience will not find hard to believe as they know the history of Modi

Isn't Sartaj Aziz the same dude who said that Pakistan is going to complain to US regarding RAW's involvement in terrorism in Pakistan?

Pak May Raise RAW's Alleged Role in Abetting Violence With the US: Report
Pakistan is expected to discuss with the US the alleged role of India's external spy agency RAW in abetting violence in the country during Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry's meetings with top Obama administration officials, a media report said today.

What vote bank? Nobody cares about 1971 anymore nor was it Mr.Modi's war.

As for raising it in forums, please do. Plenty to say for those wishing to drag Pakistan over the coals on its actions in the erstwhile East Pakistan. Both India & Bangladesh would love to take that shot.

The world knows your history far better, especially of 1971. Modi has no history of interest in 1971, marking a protest does not qualify.

“We will move the UN,” .

Saying what?

Why is pakistans international behavior so much governed by what to feed the gullible population at home. I mean i have never seen a stupider bunch of diplomats who can bring this much humiliation and ridicule to their country internationally just to tell the abduls in the fish market that what rankles also gets international validation.

Incompetence of the diplomats or of the people?

But the International community already knows that India supported Mukti Bahini nothing new in this isn't it.

even wekipedia says so
The Mukti Bahini was later supported by Indian forces which provided material support for the guerillas.[6][7][8][9]

I think the International community will rather praise India's role in thwarting a genocide by our Idiotic neighbour. Pakistan completely lacks any form of common sense. This is like the Germans or the Japanese threatening to take the US to UN for its role in World War 2.

Pakistan has no evidence to handover to US..

what about parrikars statements to use terrorists to neutralize enemies??if india supported mukthi bani then why are you not accepting that india is now supporting TTP and BLA and that will be our point that india is repeating its policies and now giving financial support to TTPand BLA.

Indira gandhi should receive the nobel for curbing a genocide, giving shelter to 10 million refugees and protecting 90000 POWs who did not actually deserve protection.

But the nobel committee is not a UN body. So why are they going to the UN?

India playing a role in making bangladesh, as if this is a breaking news for pakistan and international community.

If you want to even more advertise india's bravado into international forums, please do it, india and bangladesh would love it.

What kind of breed these pakistani diplomats are of pakistan who are hell bent on embarassing the nation in the remotest possible ways. :omghaha:
