Pak security experts declare Sir Creek dispute `technically resolved`

Islamabad: The security experts at a seminar organised at the Institute of Policy Studies said that
the decades old Sir Creek dispute between India
and Pakistan had been resolved technically and only a political decision is needed to be announced.

Head of the department of International Relations
at the National Defense University, Dr Muhammad
Khan noted that the ongstanding dispute of Sir
Creek between Pakistan and India was no more a
dispute and almost everything was settled at
technical level.

Khan said that it is merely the political will which is
required to strike a deal, Daily Times reports. Former deputy chief of Naval Staff (Operations) , Vice Admiral (retd) Iftikhar Rao, emphasized that Pakistan needed to update and further develop its maritime policy of 2002 and take into account the
recent trends and developments.
He also stressed the need for meaningful diplomatic
efforts to counter the hegemonic designs of India to dominate the Indian Ocean, which it strategically
considers ' India's ocean', the report added.

Sir Creek is in Gujarat and Pakistan has reconciled to the fact that NaMo is a strong leader who is not going to issue any concession in Gujarat.

When the enemy respects your strength, all issues get resolved. That is the way of the world.

Pakistan probably wants the issue resolved before Modi becomes PM. It is the smart thing to do.

Feel good statements - nothing true in it until corroborated by India - though Sir creek is the easiest to resolve.

So far no statements from our side. Lets see if they declare it in next few days(provided it indeed sorted out).
