Pak Rejects Indian Proposal to Declare Nuclear Doctrine

Here is a country that wouldn't even remove heavy artillery from the LoC, is officially requesting the Government of Pakistan to declare "n-doctrine".

Preposterous at best.

If the idea is to gain the trust, you should declare the doctrine

Why not stop the tap on the infiltration from your side. We'll probably remove 90% of army if that were to happen. Your sovereignty seems to only work one way - nobody should enter our territory unauthorized but armed men are free to go to other countries to create havoc. #Hypocrisy!

Pakistan declaring its nuclear doctrine is self-defeating.

Pakistan's very survival depends on those nukes. Without them it doesn't stand a chance by Jupiter's ****..(was watching Spartacus :D)

Anyway we all know Pakistan has a First-Use policy and that is the corner stone of it's defense against overwhelming Indian superiority in conventional warfare.

You only gain trust of those who are trustworthy, India not only, never misses a chance to bash Pakistan on international forum but also keeps coming with conspiracy theories against Pakistan. Pakistan and Pakistani's DO NOT trust India and Indians.

Pakistan has a low nuclear threshold, because India keeps threatening to attack them for things that they have not done.

And it seems to be working, since India backed off in 2008. That's right.

Yes, because you have not been able to prove that the Pakistani government was responsible for the Mumbai attacks. Does the UN acknowledge it? What about USA, China, etc.?

Criminals can come from any nationality. If a Nigerian stole my wallet, is that the fault of the Nigerian government?

my dear CD Ajmal Kasab received training in Pakistan

even if we assume that ISI didn't send terrorists who killed 200 plus people in 26/11 , question remains that why indians should suffer due to inability of GOP to control terror factories in its own land?

and yes India backed off in 2008 , but India has other ways and be sure if India choose to use them, pak will be in lot trouble

why remove heavy artillery from loc and not from the actual border, something fishy(remember the cowardly act kargil)

As far as nuclear assets are concerned the less confidence of India's we build the better. We need more confidence in India before we can be so open about our doctrines.

And vice versa

The Pakistanis are doing a favor just sitting across the table. We should not ask them any thing, we surely should give what ever they may ask.

It is really disappointing when people like you post such nonsensical posts...What does a nuclear doctrine have had to do with trust on India??? Do you think India declared her nuclear doctrine because India trust Pakistan??? What is wrong in pointing out the fact i.e. the conventional gap is forcing Pakistan to keep India guessing. Though dangerous but it is working for Pakistan...

Having said that these are the times when both India and Pakistan are trying to build trust. CBM's are in a sense stepping stone for building trust. Such an action will go long way in improving relations.

I don't think practically anybody would like to give up their single advantage, that too for an enemy's trust. This is just a diplomatic maneuver employed by India (might be) to pressure Pakistan that's it.
