Would have literally bore no fruit anyway. A waste money on both sides. There can be no basis of terror talks in Kashmir without including Kashmir issue as well . the agenda was a lot like you sit and listen and don't you dare back track from the script. Was never going to happen and here is the kicker it will be like this for a long time.

The thing is 300 years from now nothing will change. India and Pakistan will try to talk and india will say no talks about Kashmir issue and Pakistan will say talk about Kashmir issue and talks would be broken.

The thing is after both countries became nuclear there is no way both of them are getting Kashmir with guns. If a war breaks out then both sides will fight and any side that will make great headway will be immediately threatened by the other side by nuclear retaliation and don't forget other countries won't sit down and say 'let's see how it plays' .. They will interfere and treaties will be signed and we will see no change in the border.

So war is out .. Never happening bcz both Kashmir have about 100000 km square of Kashmir under their control and you would have to be a pretty foolish nation to let such a huge territory get annexed by your enemy and not threaten nuke. Its not a village. So that's out.

That leaves sponsoring terror attacks and freedom fighters The thing is Kashmir is no isolated nation who is covered 97 percent by your enemy 2500 kilometers away from you. So this may be a pain in the side but it will not lead to area being taken away. It will just create terror activities, unrest and a good headache for the army but not complete defeat and area removal of forces. Even attacks on military posts won't lead to armies leaving bcz of the strength of both nations armies is great.

Third is diplomacy. Both sides will not talk on the issue. India will say ignore the issue and talk abt terrorism and we will say terrorism is linked to not giving Kashmiris their rights which leads to Kashmir issue which must be resolved.

As for the world the world doesn't give a damn.UN is the most useless organization in the world while other nations just don't care enough apart from empty words which hold nothing.

This is one border dispute whose end my great great great grandchildren won't be seeing. This won't have an end and it will continue on.

Correct analysis. It is rather stupid on Pakistan's side to become rigid on talking with Hurriyat when NS himself did not meet hurriyat when he came last year. Hurriyat leaders themselves were not willing to come to Delhi and were sending representatives.

Being a Pakistani; I believe at this moment; terrorism should be Pakistan's prime agenda before Kashmir. As far as India is concerned; Hurriyat is not a third party; how can you decide future of Kashmir without consulting people of Kashmir? Also there is no representative other than Hurriyat. Sushma Swaraj should know that shimla agreement is not valid for Kashmir. India and Pakistan are no one to decide future of Kashmir; it should be people Kashmir to decide their fate.
