What's new

Pak Hindus seek refuge in Delhi.

There are rich Hindus that's why they are abducted for ransom but those rich are less in number, over all Interior Sindh is messed up place. The curse of bonded labor (irrespective of religion) is there since centuries.
We dont have bonded labour,We as a nation done with it!

1. Both the sources are Indian
2. Even if true than - still go through history of India before generalizing the acts of "declared" terrorists as common thing.
i understand bro,But Why arent you able to fight and support them minorities? Like we do in INDIA?

Modi is dalit but think on lines of upper caste brahmins etc after all the power in his party reside in hands of upper caste hindus.
You should be scared of us then cos were uniting a Dalit PM leading our Armies to WAR!

Most of the time people are not aware of what's happening in Interior Sindh because feudal strong hold and absence of media, How people will take stand when they are not aware of something. Recent example is drought in Thar (significant population who effected were Hindus), nobody was aware of that but once media highlighted it than there was outrage across the country.

Pakistani Muslims are too patriotic to go to India for any reason whereas Hindus are more open since they go to India for religious reasons anyway.
really.....
then u mean to say that muslims who go for KSA for religious reasons will be more open to KSA then to be patriotic to their pakistan......
many nepalese hindu too come to india for religious reason but they are very patriotic....religion is not the criteria for being patriotic.......every person needs safety and friendly environment which minorities don't receive in pakistan.......

They are not migrating but they prefer to be in India more than in Pakistan. For example Ramiz Raza and Wasim Akram are in India most of the seasons. They get respect, money and above all safety. Same for Atif Aslam, fateh ali etc. Even Pervez Musharraf will migrate given an option, he was already crying when his visa got rejected.
no its nt the case.....u are only talking of elites and they are here for money and they are treated as guests where as everyday worker of job person coming in india won't be treated as elites and most pakistanis muslims won't come to india even for economic reason as their hatred and insecurity in india is more as what they feel or rather are made to believe from childhood...

And every one here is crying that he is sole power in BJP now. Yes, unlike other dalit/lower caste politician, he dont cry for being dalit and ask for vote on basis of merit and thats why he is respected in upper caste.

One sided story. Article is based on superfluous facts. Native muslims of areas, except Pro-Indians where Pak Hindos resides have other opinion.

I hope Modi will find a 'permanent solution' to this issue by offering blanket immigration and Indian citizenship for Pakistani Hindus.

We hope so too!!

And why only Hindus, we ll offer asylum to all your harassed minorities including Christian and Sikhs.

Once rid of these pesky minorities. Only then would you have fulfilled the prophecy and proven yourself to be the true Islamic Republic of South Asia.

Pak Hindus seek refuge in Delhi - The Times of India

NEW DELHI: Two weeks ago, 16-year-old Bharti Rai from Hyderabad in Sindh, Pakistan, came to India on a one-way train ticket. She doesn't want to go back ever alleging oppression, sexual harassment and persecution as a religious minority across the border. Coming through Rajasthan, she is currently in Bijwasan village in outer Delhi. She is among 37 other Pakistani Hindu refugees who arrived in the village this month on a tourist visa, hoping to get asylum in India.

While Bharti arrived in the capital just two weeks ago, her brother, Gomadh Ram, a former farm worker from New Hala town in Sindh, was one of the first few who came to the capital back in 2011. The 34-year-old crossed the border on foot through Amritsar, and reached a settlement in the capital's Majnu ka Tila. He now sells fruits in Basai village for a living. He recently got an extension of two years on his tourist visa.

Nahar Singh, a politically-connected local police officer, has been helping such refugees for about three years now. Singh says he has taken 811 refugees under his wing since 2011. More than half of them made their way to India in 2012 when the Kumbh Mela was held in Allahabad, says Singh. He claims enjoying the support of right-wing organizations such as VHP, RSS and the Shiv Sena. Hindus form about 2% of the Pakistani population. The 2014 BJP manifesto has declared India 'a natural home for persecuted Hindus', while the party's prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, has reiterated support for Hindu refugees in his speeches.

"Young women cannot step out of their homes in the evening in Sindh for fear of sexual harassment. Hindu men can't get their hair cut from a Muslim barber's shop. The two communities do not even share water," says Jamna, 40. Like many other women who have accompanied her, Jamna goes only by her first name.

On Monday afternoon, the shelter, located in a non-functioning school in Bijwasan, is buzzing with noise from excited children running in the corridors. The men are away searching for work. The asylum seekers realize that moving to India is not a panacea to their problems. "If we were discriminated against for religion in Pakistan, here we are discriminated against for being Pakistani. It is difficult to get respectable work in private companies or factories," says Gomadh Ram.

However, Chandrama, a middle-aged woman who arrived here with her three sons, said, "At least one has access to justice here. That doesn't happen in Pakistan."

Activist and former journalist Zulfiqar Shah is also a Pakistani refugee in the capital, currently living on the street near Jantar Mantar with his wife. Shah had worked on the denial of human rights to the Hindu minority in Pakistan, and he alleges it was one of the reasons why he was hounded out. "Roughly 500 Hindus leave Pakistan every year. The elite go to Dubai, US or the UK. The poor gravitate towards India," says Shah.

The group that arrived in Delhi comprises mostly of poor farm workers or well-off small business owners. At least two of them, who have been here over a longer period, have acquired Aadhaar cards, the details of which they are unable to divulge.

Last month, a temple in Larkana, Sindh, was set on fire after rumours of a Hindu desecrating the Quran fanned communal tension in the area. In March 2012, the case of Rinkle Kumari from Sindh made international headlines after it was alleged that she was abducted and forced to convert to Islam.

GOOD! better than falling in love and getting converted !

There are over 3 million Indian Hindus who have sought Refuge in the US.

They are called " Economic Migrants "

Pakistanis Hindus are no different. They will go where ever they will find better Economic conditions.
Nonsense.... from the UN

"The 1951 Refugee Convention spells out that a refugee is someone who "owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality, and is unable to, or owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country.""

Every Pakistani Hindu is welcome in India.

I am glad BJP in its manifesto has made it clear.

Wish you a safe journey my brothers and sisters, may lord almighty give you strength and wisdom to leave a place where you have been suffering and lead a life in a place where your generation will be safe and prosperous.

The human evolution has proved that those who keep moving they survive. You are going to fit in that scheme of things and where evil forces will be contained in their own dungeons and then mowed down at appropriate time.

Welcome Home.

Indian caste system is deeply rooted in Religious o social psyche of Hindus. Its impossible to get rid of. Its not hard to find highly educated Hindus living by the caste code.
What u r talking is right about caste system and religion but the situation is far different on ground now. what u r talking is past....It's India where at every few kilometer lifestyle, food, language and mentality changes but u won't be able to figure out that.
