Pak High Commission funding hardline Hefazat-e-Islam to protest against PM Modi: Bangladesh Chhatra League chief

ANI | Updated: Mar 20, 2021 23:18 IST

Dhaka [Bangladesh], March 20 (ANI): Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka is "secretly funding" hardline Islamist organisation Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh to stage protests against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president Al Nahean Khan Joy.

Taking to Twitter, Joy, the president of BCL, the student wing of Bangladesh ruling Awami League, said the people of Bangladesh condemn the attempt by Pakistan spy agency ISI.

"Pak Flag of Pakistan HC #Dhaka's #SecretFunding for @HIBofficial @Hefazot to protest against India Flag of India & its PM @narendramodi. We, #secular & #democratic people of #Bangladesh condemn this attempt by Pak agency #ISI. #Shame on @GovtofPakistan, protector of #Terrorists around the globe," tweeted Joy.

On Friday, a rally was taken out in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka against the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Modi.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh was one of the organisers of the rally.

An umbrella platform for ulema (religious scholars), Hefazat-e-Islam was established in 2010 in Chittagong ostensibly to defend Islam from ruling Awami League's allegedly anti-Islamic policies, especially a proposed policy to confer equal inheritance rights to women.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive on March 26 to celebrate Bangladesh's 50 years of independence.

A Ministry of External Affairs release said that the visit is in connection with the commemoration of three epochal events - Mujib Borsho, the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Bangladesh and 50 years of Bangladesh's war of liberation.

Prime Minister Modi had last visited Bangladesh in 2015.

During the visit, Prime Minister will attend the National Day programme of Bangladesh on March 26 as the guest of honour.

Apart from holding bilateral consultations with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, PM Modi will call on Bangladesh President Md. Abdul Hamid. (ANI)

The BAL Thugs are up to something. Expect an attack on innocent students protesting Modi's arrival tomorrow.

The audacity of this RAW implant, threatening to harm others publicly with impunity.

If we can't deal with these RAW implants poisoning the core of the country through their nefarious and subservient agenda to serve the Bhakts, no point in having Multi-Billion dollar EFTs and expensive toys.

DU Chhatra League president: Will resist anti-Modi protesters

Chhatra League’s Dhaka University (DU) unit President Sanjit Chandra Das on Thursday said the student organization would resist anti-Modi protests on the campus.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bangladesh on March 26 to join celebrations marking the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sanjit said a vested quarter is conspiring even as world leaders join Bangladesh to celebrate the country’s 50 years of independence.

“We’ll deal with whoever comes to protest at Raju sculpture [on the campus] tomorrow,” he said at a Chhatra League rally at Raju Memorial Sculpture to protest against the attack on Hindus in Naogram village of Sunamganj’s Shalla upazila.

...... At the Chhatra League rally, Sanjit said the student front will not allow the leftists to arrange a rally on the campus and threatened to “peel off your skin.”

This isn't really a surprise. If there are Islamists and Islamo-fascists, you will find Pakistani connections.

In your Modi imagination. Look how powerful we are. We haunt you everywhere. Even in foreign lands LOL

Let me ask you one question. Why have you not been able to defeat Pakistan despite having your entire pimp club supporting you? From US/NATO to Afghanistan and even Hollywood. All praising you and supporting you militarily and through propaganda. Yet all you can do is play the blame game.

. . . . . .
If true, Pakistan need to inject more money, puny amounts will not get you anywhere if you want shills that will do your footwork.

These are Indians we are talking about at work, the ones that scam you blink of an eye.

(It's a half joke) in all seriousness, Bangladesh seems to be a proxy for the neighbourhood LOL

Just throwing a FYI out there.

Bangladeshis are in distaste with Hasinas political tactics - why is the political narrative always Pakistan and why does that country seem to live 'rent free' in her head. We are also in disgust with her behaviour and the way she is towing the Pakistan excuse to further her work at hand.

This type of politics only exists in her tenure, it's a similar style to the way Indians would tow Pakistan in anything.

As a result it looks like BD is following the same culture as India, cheap, false journalism, to demonize a country
