No I haven't, but I would certainly like to. A long trip to Scotland is actually way up on my bucket list. I'm part Scottish and part Irish A little bit more bloodline on the scottish side though.

I really am surprised how Pakistani's claim they want democracy yet they then want TV channels and other mediums of communication and entertainment banned. Freedom of speech is a cornerstone of democracy.

I also saw some news where the government has decided to fine 36 channels for showing "immoral" content. Since when do governments decide what "immoral" is, frankly I think there is absolutely nothing on Pakistani TV except for those investigation shows where they prey on poor people and invade their privacy.

misguided approach! its not a common soldier vs Media ( Geo) ! a common soldier doing his duty as per instruction is among the most noble deeds ( whichever country he belongs to ) . Problem is with the establishment or leadership ! It can be good or bad and should never be above questioning!

PDF has way too many fauji kids! they can believe that questioning Armed forces establishment and leadership is not equal to disrespecting a soldier ,and his sacrifice and duty !

They are ignoring Kashmir issue completely because ever since this channel was launched they never show even a single news or program regarding Kashmir issue. Instead they are showing aman ki asha and indian sponsored programs. And they never talked about the raw and CIA involvement in balochistan. Not even a single time. And when raw agents were captured from Karachi, every news channel highlighted it except geo.
And as far as other channels are concerned I watch all news channels regularly and during Kashmir day every channel put heed to Kashmir matter except geo news, who was too busy showing IPL, Bollywood and indian programs.




So u r saying there is nothing going on in Kashmir? U r totally wrong my friend! Kashmiris are fighting for freedom for more than six decades and they have sacrificed their everything. And on other hand geo is saying that we should forget what's happening in Kashmir and should watch Bollywood films and indian dramas instead. This won't going to happen. Even if geo has forgotten and ignored sacrifices of Kashmiri people but we as Muslim and Pakistani will never forget our Kashmiri brothers. And we will till the end going to support our Kashmiri brothers.

And tell me brother what's the main job of a news channel?
Is news channel is bound to earn money only or to show good and authentic news?

why so interest in things happening in Kashmir? does pakistan has any dearth of news ?

Freedom of speech doesn't means that one can show anything that it wants in his/her channel. Even a single bad news can mislead a whole nation. And can cause a big trouble. This channel geo news should be banned immediately because it is working against the interest of the nation, it has caused lots of troubles and it is misleading the nation and creating ethnic riot in our country. I went to pemra official site, it is loaded with complaints against geo news

Every country respects it's soldiers because it's army is their front line of defense. But this geo news by getting money from foreign countries are defaming the reputation of our army and are misleading nation. They are accusing our army with out any solid proofs. This is because our army is free of any corruption and most reliable department in Pakistan. And they are further saying that a army and ISI should be politicized.
And secondly they are backing corrupt politicians and showing the whole country that they are very good politicians. And this channel is broadcasted lots of anti Pakistan programs.

Anyways, today's reality is that Pakistan looks like a slightly less paranoid, but more dangerous North Korea, and India looks like the poster child of democratic values, that's fighting the good fight against the Chinese. This is all thanks to xenophobia and the rise of ultra nationalism in Pakistan.
