I think ...Iraq was able to defeat because at that time.....IRAQ was supported by USA in fighting with Iran and that is the reason why Iraq was able to get an upper hand with Iran...Otherwise..Iran is very much self sufficient and developed that Iraq...

First your numbers are too wrong.educate yourself.
Second,the reason for casualties in Iran is that Arab bastard (Saddam) used all kinds of chemical weapons on civilians,nearly 100,000 has been died because of this.

That's why i say most of Arab countries have coward armies.

Iraq didn't defeat Iran. It was Iraq's goal to 'free' Khuzestan and the Arabs in Iran, but Saddam had to retreat in 1982. So if you want to talk about military goals you can say that Iraq lost that war. If you consider that after 1982 Iran had as goal to 'liberate' Karbala you can also state that Iran failed to achieve that. So I'm my opinion, both 'lost' the war. If you consider all the unnecessary killings and the big economically hit both countries took, the only winner in my opinion was Turkey. They gained a lot of this war because the two Middle-East superpowers were at war with each other and they made huge profit of it.

well defeat is a strange word as at the end of the war all Iran condition for peace accepted ,and it was Iraq who was bankrupted to the extent that they had to attack Kuwait to escape their debts. abd strangely Iraq could not achieve even one of his goal when they started the war .

by the way number of war prisoner on Iraqi side say how brave Arabs are , more importantly did your source told you how much of those casualties were civilian and were due to extensive use of Chemical weapons by Iraq . I wonder how many of those death and injuries were because of bombing cities as every one knew Iraq only fired more than 200 scud missile only toward a city of 100000 people (at the time) in south east Iran and they bombed City of Ahvaz 2-3 time a day I knew only in one of their bombing they managed to kill 50 student in a guidance school near my home. and also I wonder how much of those dead and injured were the civilian that with bare hand and stone stopped Iraq war machine advance in Khuzestan ?

has you wondered why capturing the defenseless city of Khoramshahr took more than two and even after 2 years of siege Iraq army could not break the defense of Abadan.

by the way do you know why us hesitant to attack Iran but there was no such hesitation for attacking Iraq ?
