Six F-16s to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow

Pakistan will receive six new F-16 aircrafts from the United States on Saturday, as part of 18 such fighter jets that are scheduled to reach the country by December.

The United States handed over three such planes to Pakistan last month.

The incumbent government, after taking charge in 2008 decided to buy 18 additional new block-52 fighter jets, instead of the 24 refurnished planes that had been agreed to by the previous government.

Earlier, The Express Tribune had reported the fighters were being delivered to Pakistan under a series of strict conditions by Washington. One of these stipulations, the report said, was that Pakistan would not use the jets in any conflict with India. Another condition, the report said, was that American air force engineers will accompany the delivery of the F-16s and supervise not only the air base but also the operations to be carried out by PAF against Taliban and al Qaeda.

Who believes that those conditions apply? we didn't spent millions of dollars to showcase planes and those American BVRs to fight taliban.

Conditions don't apply. I doubt the media has seen the statement by ACM. We will use them against whoever we wish.

With six already in service and with the arrival of same quantity, the first PAF Block-52 Squadron should be able to stand up, while the balance six aircraft would bring the squadron to full strength with a couple on reserve.

I am more positive about the news that 25 JF17 will be in inventory by end of year then 3-5 F16

The news on JF17 thuder and the news about the SAM purchase is the real deal news , the F16 news is old story - penuts
