The official Bahrain News Agency says at least 100 warplanes were taking part in the drills Sunday, which come amid heightened Western pressures on Iran over Tehran’s nuclear program.
Bahrain also is home to the US Navy’s 5th Fleet. Bahrain says the aerial maneuvers are its biggest since 1988 and include Arab allies, Turkey, Pakistan and the US.

Brig. Gen. Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Royal Air Force Commander described the exercise as a solid foundation for joint GCC military exercises.
He revealed that these military exercises have regularly been hosted once every two years at the
Sheikh Isa Airbase. He added that these drills have received full support and an enthusiastic welcome from the commanders of air forces of participating countries who closely worked together in pre-planning for this big event. — Agencies __

This picture is photo-shoot of ISPR drama series 'Faseel-e-Jan se agay' which are based on true stories of our martyrs. The episode is 'Parwaz-e-Junoon' and here are some more pictures:

On topic:
Pakistan Air Force is surely sending it's F-16s out there, but the question is, are the Thunders participating?
These are maneuvers and the PAF want's to keep the maneuverability of JF-17 a surprise for the enemy. Even if they participate, which I hope will do, their show will be limited like earlier displays.

Good luck.

one can see a helo in the background!

yup, they are cobra pilots.

well hopefully they will send thunders...
they will gain valuable experience regarding thunder's performence against other fighters from different air forces.

we can dog fight all we want with our own planes and pilots, the real experience comes when you face a new adversary with different and unknown tactics.

They all are Army Aviation pilots and at least on of them is cobra pilot

No need to show off your best strategies ... just be average and observe and absorb all the knowledge ... I think all the forces generally follow this method

Antibody,

Thank you for your post----these young pakistani kids don't learn nothing----why would you want to give out your best moves on an excercize----.

Why does the u s want to do excercizes wigth other air froces----just to learn what the other can do---. The u s a f knows that pilots from pakistan etc would want to show off in front of them and would pretty much go all out---that is all the u s a f is looking for.
