PAF receives first batch of F-16 Block-52 Aircraft

For the last two years, Pakistani F-16s have been heavily used in the tribal territories, along the Afghan border, dropping smart and dumb bombs, and giving the pilots experience using targeting pods. This is the first combat experience the Pakistani F-16s have received.

That is not correct - Pakistan was the second nation after Israel to bring F-16's into combat shooting down Soviet Union Intruders.

Who is going to stop us from using them against India? As a matter of fact I just spoke to General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on the telephone and the three F-16 we just got are on their way to do fly bys over Manmohan Singh house.:chilli:

why don't you try to understand one technical thing they know every second where are your f16 planes are now

planes send back signal to USA air force there location

and if they cross the border against India and if USA want to stop f16 they cant stop the planes its all about IT

well dear ask some one IT professional they can do this

in short you can use f16 against usa wish

Not IT but its matter of Electrical engineering...using specific codes you can stop or destroy f-16 anywhere....but you know we might not need them to use them against india..they might be for show off...lol:lol:...just to scare india ..so that india buy some planes from USA inreturn too....its all politics...man...but if pakistan wants to use them against india then they have to change the programming codes plus necessary hardware related with it for the system...it requires lot of work ..not an easy job but can be done after hectic efforts ..so that US cant hack it or destroy it..anywhere or anytime.
:pakistan::pdf:

We have used it before and we might use it again. We have used aircrafts like F-104 against India even Americans put the same conditions to not to use them against India.

:)

keep it up bro keep it up
scare the sh*t out of Indians..so that they run to Uncle Sam and buy some fighting aircrafts from him too:lol:.......:pakistan::pdf:

..
I guess u guyz did not learn no lesson from Uncle Sam when he ruled india for more than a century...U still trust Uncle Sam that he means whatever he says...Again they will rule u guyz for another hundred years if u trust him....We dont trust Uncle Sam like he dont trust us...so we do our way..whatever we want to....so just relax and enjoy the politics...let Uncle Sam go crazy in Afghanistan...and give us more flowers in the form of F-16's for u guyz...hey to tell u the truth Pakistan dont even wanna kill any indian...unless they get fooled by Uncle Sam and let Uncle Sam(the Cunning Uncle) make India as fodder for us then what we can do ..we got no choice...everything is still in ure hands guyz...save ureself or destroy ureself. But I hope U guyz will play smart and stay away from the dirty politics of Uncle Sam ...Let Afghan people take good care of Uncle Sam....and teach them a very good lesson what they need it at this time.We just wanna enjoy and relax and watch the Afghan movie. lets party with the movie

Hey bro.....u are smart...u are understanding the dirty tricks of Uncle Sam...It is better for the poor countries like us ..not to buy anythng from Uncle sam. They will not give us anythng but a sweet poison like they did in the history. We need to develop our own technology in order to keep ourselves free from Uncle Sam or anybody. That is the only way for survival... I am really havng fun on this forum....nice meetng u on this forum.

Warplanes: New Night Eyes Over Pakistan

New Night Eyes Over Pakistan

July 1, 2010: Pakistan recently received three F-16 Block 52 fighters. There are all-weather aircraft, that are particularly effective at night. There are the first all-weather fighters the Pakistani Air Force has received. Another 15 or these aircraft will be delivered by the end of the year. Pakistan has operated 40 F-16 since the 1990s, but was barred from buying any more after Pakistan revealed that it had nuclear weapons in 1989. That embargo was lifted in 2005 and another 14 F-16s were delivered by 2008.

Pakistan is paying a Turkish firm to upgrade its older F-16s from Block 15 configuration to Block 40 (about halfway to the highest upgrade level for an F-16). Now that the U.S. has lifted its arms embargo on Pakistan, there are many firms competing for all the work needed to update older American weapons still used by Pakistan. The Turks have long had good trade relations with Pakistan, and have also developed, with the help of the U.S. and Israel, a growing aircraft maintenance and upgrade industry. Most of the F-16 work will be done in Pakistan, using Turkish engineers and technicians supervising some local workers, and using largely imported (from Turkey and elsewhere) components. Turkey has long maintained one the largest F-16 fleets outside of the United States.

The F-16 is the most numerous post-Cold War jet fighter, with over 4,200 built, and still in production. During The Cold War, Russia built over 10,000 MiG-21s, and the U.S over 5,000 F-4s, but since then warplane production has plummeted about 90 percent. But since the end of the Cold War, the F-16 has been popular enough to keep the production lines going.

The U.S. F-16 is one of the most modified jet fighters in service. While most are still called the F-16C, there are actually six major mods, identified by block number (32, 40, 42, 50, 52, 60), plus the Israeli F-16I, which is a major modification of the Block 52. Another special version (the Block 60), for the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is called the F-16E. The F-16D is a two seat trainer version of F-16Cs. The various block mods included a large variety of new components (five engines, four sets of avionics, five generations of electronic warfare gear, five radars and many other mechanical, software, cockpit and electrical mods.)

The F-16 can also function as a bomber and ground attack aircraft, although not as effectively as the air force folks would have you believe. It can carry four tons of bombs. In air-to-air combat, it has shot down 69 aircraft so far, without losing anything to enemy warplanes. It was originally designed as a cheaper alternative to the heavier F-15.

The two most advanced versions of the F-16 are in use by foreign air forces. The UAE has 80 "Desert Falcons" (the F-16E) which is optimized for air combat. It is a 22 ton aircraft based on the Block 52 model, but with an AESA (phased array) radar and lots of other additional goodies.

The Israeli F-16I is optimized for bombing. It's a 24 ton, two seat aircraft, and is probably the most capable F-16 model in service. It's basically a modified version of the Block 52, equipped with a more advanced radar (the APG-68X) and the ability to carry Israeli weapons like the Python 4 air-to-air missile and the Popeye 2 air-to-surface missile. Costing $45 million each, the F-16I has an excellent navigation system, which allows it to fly on the deck (a few hundred feet from the ground), without working the pilot to death. The aircraft can do this at night or in any weather. The F-16I can carry enough fuel to hit targets 1,600 kilometers away (meaning Iran is within range). The aircraft uses the latest short and long range air-to-air missiles, as well as smart bombs. Electronic countermeasures are carried, as is a powerful computer system, which records the details of each sortie in great detail. This is a big help for training. The F-16I is basically optimized to deliver smart bombs anywhere, despite dense air defense

For the last two years, Pakistani F-16s have been heavily used in the tribal territories, along the Afghan border, dropping smart and dumb bombs, and giving the pilots experience using targeting pods. This is the first combat experience the Pakistani F-16s have received.[/QUOTE]

wrong friend - PAF was the 2nd airforce after the IDFAF to use F-16s in combat as far back as 1986 during the soviet invasion of afghanistan - the writer shd do better research work!!!

F-16s won't be used for aggression against any country: Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the F-16s provided by the US would not disturb the regional balance of power and that the advanced jets would not be used for aggression against any other country.

During a meeting with Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman at the Presidency here, Zardari expressed the hope that he F-16s would help Pakistan in the ongoing 'war on terror,' The Dawn reports.

Zardari's statement is in contrast with what Air Chief Marshal Suleman had said during the induction ceremony of the first three of 18 F-16s provided by the US earlier this week.

Suleman had said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) would not hesitate to deploy the newly inducted F-16 fighter aircrafts against any 'external and internal' threat.

"Our mission is to maintain peace with honour in the region but should this primary effort of maintaining peace fails, the PAF will employ all its assets, including these aircraft, to defend the country against external and internal security threats," Suleman had said.
