With FC31 at hands, no need to bled white by Europe.

wanglaokan, post: 9038398, member: 136307"]4 squadrons of FC31 can do the Magic. I make a bet that Pakistan will get stealthy fighter before

The thread is about the quick fix options between now and 2020 to get Pakistan ready to meet challenges of mki fatale and upgraded mirage2000.

That is a real threat

The j31;will come but that's the future as for leasing fighters that's nonsense talk .

If I tell you PAF can get FC31 before year 2020, do you believe me?

If there is a need from Pakistan, China sure can export FC31 to PAF before year 2020. China is a robust manufacturing machine. That's depend on how eager PAF want FC31.

I believe you. And I am not against such an outcome. I am simply curious about the possibilities that arise from Turkey's access to the EJ-200. And if it means that EFT becomes a viable option for us, I would like PAF to go for it. NOT because I am in awe of the West, but because:

1. It would give PAF exposure to new platforms and technologies which is good for increasing knowledge and expertise.

2. Given the Western aircrafts in the inventories of GCC countries, it makes coordinated operations and exercises much more easier.

3. It also gives us a much needed twin engine platform with increased ferry range and load capacity for naval operations and deep strikes within enemy territory.

Typhoons are available to Pakistan and indeed to any nation.

Block 52,are avisilabke to Pakistan the USA offered them recently to Pakistan.

I'm sure France would sell rafale

The issue is what do the military want and what resources they have to buy them

To fit EJ200 on Chinese fighter jet is very unrealistic, but I understand your concern.

If, I say if, Pakistan can get EJ200 on FC31, China has no problem with it. I think Yankee will not allow NATO partner do it.

Now you are demonstrating your shear lack of knowledge and understanding.

You cannot add any engine to j31,out of the blue . This would require massive structure changes and having to go back to scratch with testing

The chinrase are building Their owned sized engine for the j31 you can't just plug and play likecs Lego kit.

You people make things up as you go along. You clearly have no idea of how far the j31;has to go yet.

It's been powered by a temporary Russian engine

All the radars and weapons are still go be developed .

Then everythibg has to be tested

Typical flights needed over 3000 hours to get to Foc.

The j31;is five years behind the j20 .

There are two simple tech demonstrators in service.

.
j f 17 thunder block 3 will be more superior than f 16 block 52.
f 16 block A/B could be upgraded in turkey.
euorofighter can be purchased
more investment in air defense and early warning systems.

Don't bluff. Customization is very normal, especially customer like Pkaistan.

It all depends on the details. If Turkey gets full unrestricted re-export rights, things should be more manageable. I am in a wait and watch mode here.

Our Chinese brothers are our special guests on the forum. Please talk in a civil manner with them, otherwise keep your mouth shut and your fingers away from the keyboard.

We're talking about Italy's used Typhoon Tranche 1s. They have 28 units for sale at around $1.5bn US, and Spain put their Tranche 1s on the market for $70m a unit or so.

If such is the price ..... then why don't go to uncle sam for f16-52 .....

.
Neither of the sources you gave presented the system's specifications, but frankly that doesn't matter because its capabilities do not hinge upon the public's knowledge thereof. Where did you get the notion that the J-10C's avionics package has "Western tech"?
Its based on JF17 development path as PAF still has incorporated many Western systems ,Had the industry being to that level we would have opted complete Chinese solution

If you need 'proof' for every single missile that K-8 can fire, then you are simply overthinking the issue. And while you're at it, provide your 'proof' that K-8 can only fire WVR missiles.

A commercial jet liner is very different to a fighter plane. There is no substitution for a human's ability to separate friend from foe in complete radar silence where you wouldn't have IFF. And that's just one aspect of the problem.

Pakistan doesn't need to constrain itself to low end/legacy aircraft in response to India's 4.5+ gen buying spree. You can keep your condescending advice to yourself.

@Windjammer @Desertfalcon @Horus @MastanKhan : I am picking random names but based on the content I have seen you post on the PAF. Can anyone of you veryify the claim above made my the poster that K-8's can fire BVR missiles like the SD-10? I thought if they can, it was limited to WVR? Thank you.

They can lease J10b anytime they want, if there is a war breaking out.

I think I totally agree with your statement. Just like the AWACS and the Cruise Missiles, Pakistan will beat India to it and will acquire stealthy jets before India makes them operational. I've seen this happen way too many times. The Pakistanis surprise pleasantly well :enjoy:

.
not yet may be after block-III it will, after block-III maybe PAF will look at other options like SU-35/Typhoon instead of waitng for J-31 5th gen. stealth

In defensive role, JF-17s are quite adequate. Note that Pakistan is procuring HQ-9s which would neutralize Indian offensive capabilities.

.
Within our Air Space , PAF is more than Capable to Defend our Skies , its not just about Fighters its a complete Net Centric Environment with help of AWAC's , SAM's and Radar Coverage

.
I think the Su-35 is not realistic right now....with Russia showing interest in CEPEC and trying to balance india...the ideal situation will be if we can convince Russians for J-11D from China...and China is a reliable source and J-11D will address the immediate need of heavy fighters in PAF and then we can upgrade them acccording to our needs with chinese collaboration...This is very much doable if the will is exerted in this direction.

Along with it we should look for long range SAMs from both Russia and China...that's the area we are seriously lagging behind. I have heard that we possess HQ-9...but if that's not true we should focus on making that happen. And also look for Russian systems if they are willing to sell them.

These two options are the most realistic and they involve Russia, if we are able to pull this through it will strengthen our relations with Russia too.
