I hope and pray he is not F Sola lover and act like Nur Khan not like like other air chiefs who refuses to help army against India...especially during Kargill where they only lock on Indian planes and share photos with Americans.

Sir I think it was during the times of Gen. Kiyani as COAS, when the pics of Indian planes locked on were shared with the Americans. Furthermore, if we read Air Commodore (R) Kaiser Tufail's views ... he has accounted that PAF had advised against the Kargil Operation in the first place.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government announced Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan as the new chief of air staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The newly appointed Chief of Air staff will take charge on March 19 as Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman is going to retire from his post.

Air Marshal Khan was first commissioned in the GD (P) Branch in December 1983. He is currently performing duty as Director General Air Force Strategic Command at Air Headquarters and as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support).

He was also awarded with Sword of Honour, Best Pilot Trophy and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal for showing excellent performance during his service.

Mujahid Anwar Khan also received Hilal-i-Imtiaz, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for his performance.

The Air Marshal Khan has flown various training and fighter aircraft including the F-16, F-6, FT-5, T-37, and MFI-17.

I'm pretty happy that a person with illustrious career has been opted thus a great successor to the outgoing Air Chief Sohail Amman who has done quite a lot in his tenure and I hope the new chief will carry the baton farther and work on project Azm will get accelerated.
