Islamabad 29 November, 2019:- Today, Pakistan Air Force has conducted a command level operation exercise with participation of all Operational Bases across the three Regional Commands. All types of PAF aircraft participated in the massive concurrent exercise to practice short-notice offensive employment concept involving fighter aircraft, force-multipliers and Special Forces. The concept validates PAF’s options for offensive employment of its various capabilities.

I didn't see any footage of F-16's in the vid, but good stuff (overall).

.
Can anyone elaborate what sort of parameters were validated from this exercise?

PAF conducts exercise to check offensive preparedness

Islamabad, November 29

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Friday conducted a command-level operation exercise to check its offensive preparedness.

All operational bases across the three regional commands participated in the maneuvers called as Hawk-eye Exercise, the PAF said in a statement.

All types of PAF aircraft were part of the endeavour. The jets took part in the practice of short-notice offensive employment, it said.

The exercise not just involved the fighter aircraft, force-multipliers but also the Special Forces.

“The concept validates the PAF’s options for offensive employment of its various capabilities,” it said.

No more details were provided about the exercise which was part of the efforts to increase fighting prowess of the air force.

The exercise was held amidst tension between Pakistan and India after New Delhi revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August. Pakistan downgraded diplomatic ties with India and expelled the Indian Ambassador in Islamabad. PTI

Yeah that F-16 in one of the pictures is a jet being delivered a couple of years ago. But the video footage is great. Good to see something without music.

I am curious due the inclusion of Special Forces elements of PAF in this particular exercise. Other things are part of routine ops and improvement in operational plans. What possible roll SSW will be playing in an offensive op like Op Swift Retort in future?

Like you want to know operational parameters achieved by the this exercise?
It says offensive punch was tested during the exercise. I am curious about inclusion of SSW in this exercise. Apart from that, this is perhaps first country wide exercise after Op Swift Retort. I am curious if there is possibility PAF is going for a more aggressive posture in future offensive as inclusion of SSW here is really interesting.

Offensive posture demonstrated as if needed, we will deliver the punch. It doesn't mean PAF is gone on offensive posture rather it is like defensive to offensive capability.

That i understand. My interest is in SSW's role in these exercises. PAF's offense will be in enemy's territory, right? now in that context, what role "boots on the ground" i.e. SSW will be playing. Only option i can think of is to recover lost pilots in enemy area. I don't think PAF is where it will be thinking inserting SSW deep into enemy territory to neutralize enemy radars or other sensitive installation.

Offense is the best defense....

Strike terror into the Hindutva hearts - darker than the dark deep ocean at a dark night covered by dark clouds...

Why not?? If Beni Israil can do it why not Pak?!?! 02-26 to 02-28 have shown Pak could control the dynamics of the fast changing “hot” scenarios once stated by India...

As for the Indian strategists, it needs to be implanted into their minds: the Hindutva RSS Marathas are facing the Muslim forces under EbdAli...

Indians revere movies....

Mostly Spec Ops are used in SEAD/DEAD ops to take out certain high value targets or capture sites or air bases.

SSW are trained as Forward Aerial Observer/Air Traffic Controller to guide air strikes inside enemy territory and direct aircrafts against enemy targets. Construct temporary airstrips for landing of transport aircrafts (C-130). Capture enemy FOB(Forward Operating Base), set it up for landing and direct friendly aircraft to land. Provide emergency Comm and Navigation for friendly aircrafts in blind areas.

Rest all other SF roles.
