This doesn't seem like a courtesy call. Maybe we are going to train the Bahraini Airforce.

Training and some future cooperation like Mushak's and potentially K-8's.

Russian Air Force Chief also visited the king a day after the PAF chief's visit.

it may very well be just a courtesy call. why so much fuss over a visit?
