lets be honest f-16s and JF-17s(with no BVR) alone cant establish air superiority over vast Indian air space. neither can they take indian navy's mig 29s. however i can see PAF holding their ground over Pakistani air space for a short war situation

If you have better technology... numbers... quality.. quantity ... when Pakistan F16s @ Turkey for MLU why not try .. or try after Mumbai attacks ... your many ministers talking about "Surgical Strike" who's stopping you thn ???? lolzzzz

Is he talking of allocating greater resources for CAS directed at our IBGs to blunt their advance before they penetrate deep? Wouldn't that tie down critical assets in CAS tasks while leaving lesser resources available for counter air and interdiction operations? CAS against Indian IBGs also means flying into very dense AD environment and consequent attrition to PAF. It will also mean that the PAF will use its assets in penny packets in response to our ground action and not as a concentrated force available to meet major emerging threats. This will undoubtedly lead to losses to the IBGs and necessitate allocation of greater AD resources to them. But it will also make the PAF more vulnerable to our counter air operations and result in greater attrition.

What area do you think IAF has an edge over PAF as of today In terms of technology can you single out any of it? Is it aircraft? radar, avionics or jammers or BVR, AWACS or AARs? the thing is there is a parity between the two AFs as of now. IF you have anything to add to the list, go on.

No buddy, we did not attack you after Mumbai. But the reason was not that we got scared of your American or Chinese machines or your nukes. I know that this is what you are told in Pakistan. Some of the reason for India not attacking Pakistan are as follows.
1. A cost benefit analysis showed that we stood to lose more than we would gain by way of damage to our economy by fleeing foreign investments and business. No one likes to do business in a war zone. Our economy would have gone back many years and would have taken long to recover. The ongoing US financial crisis would have worsened the damage.
2. Of course Pakistan's economy would have suffered far more if war broke out but that is really no consolation to us is it?
3. A war would have made necessary huge expenses on defence to make up the gaps in our stock of war like stores. We would have had to import from available sources and paid premium prices. This additional expense we did not wish to incur.
4. Your leaders promised on record to nab the perpetrators and try them. It so happened that they promptly forgot to honour their promises.
5. We realised that war was not the only way to get even. Other means were available to us.

My points are also same .... but one more points is Pakistan will definitely try to move that war (If started) to Nuclear - threat which possibility destroy whole India economical game in the world... and automatically many world powers will involve on that mess because Pakistan is (Strategically important middle of this whole region) for all power and India too (economically and business).

As we are no match to china thats why we are looking at china and not pakistan, and it will help us grow rapidly..Why to look at a force which is behind us interms of tech and power ??!!!

PAF and IAF are in the same boat in terms of tech, not numbers.
and please remove jaguars.

The numbers advantage is made up for by the fact that you have more then just us to worry about.
The numbers advantage really isn't an advantage for you unless you're willing AF at us.
