UHHH..... The American senate, certain congressmen, CNN anchors, News Media and many of the common folk!

If you give up your life for them in the end they say it was not well enough you have to do some thing more ... I think this is time that we have to show our backs to them ...

Cobra Helicopters do not have that much endurance to fly all the way from Multan to Waziristan and once on station, provide air cover.

They are permanently placed in Peshawar. From there, they fly in East towards Swat Valley or West , to Waziristan, to provide air support to troops.

No dear these are not permanently placed in Peshawar. they had to fly from Multan to Peshawar and from here they headtowards their mission.


I had been asking them for long to have permanent base for these helis here but they aint listening.

Yes actually, i mean the same. Cobra squadrons are there in Multan. Some Cobra helos are now in Peshawar.

Permanently, they cannot be moved to Peshawar because of two reasons:
1. Cobras are in Multan to provide support to tank unit ,in case of war, in Multan, Bahawalpur and Pannu Aqil area. There current employment is temporary and these machines are not suited for this type of missionsand terrain.

2. Helicopters require extensive maintenance and repair facilities. All such facilities are in Multan. So, technically, it is not possible to opertae helos from Peshawar on permanent basis, while repair workshop is in Multan.

dear i know the technicalities but they can place helis perminently in short numbers such as now we need in FATA for operation.

Easier said than done. How do you suppose they would take care of the maintenance and security of these assets that far out? The current deployment of Cobras is in line with the requirements in FATA. Its just unfortunate that in certain circumstances, the Cobras were not on station.

Should Pakistan build new Military base in South Waziristan? This should be joint military base with our Chinese friends to control the talibanization of Pakistan, especially NWFP and Baluchistan.

Of course they should have a base in South Waziristan. Why shouldn't they, it is the need of the hour and Waziristan is in Pakistan and being in Pakistan the Army has the right to built a base their.

Well we sure need a military base in south waziristan, i think we already have one near. Anyhow but it shouldnt be with the chinese. There is no need for that, we should have faith in our own forces who can handle terrorism by their own without any external help.

We need Chinese to show initiative and be supportive toward Pakistan. Chinese have shown no sign of help when it comes to Al-Qaida/Taliban or Kashmir issue. We have provided moral support to China whenever there is a issue between China and India and China and Taiwan.
In fact we have no relationship/Trade with Taiwan because of China, but India has no problem trading with China and Taiwan.

We need China help and clearing and relocating these uneducated people with Afghnia culture. We need to clear the North and South Waziristan, send the Afghnistani back to Afghanistan and all the trouble makers from Wazirstan should be relocated to Interior Sindh to reduce the Sindhi majority in Interior Sindh. massive education institutes (Engineering and vocational training) should be establish in Interior Sindh.

Basically the border area should be clear, no trespassing and drug smuggling should be allowed, no weapon in the area. Weapon manufacture should be allowed to relocate the other cities. Local Weapon manufacturing should be promoted but should be organize so the weapons don't get into the wrong hands. It should be managed by local defense manufacturing department.

I agree with you. What is even more important is that we evict the foreign elements who are bent destroying Pakistan. We mustn't let their designs succeed and take action before it is too late.

Unless an MOB is built part of new gawadar air port looks like paf pasni will be upgraded to mob to cover gawadar and Omara on he western coast as Quetta is too far north and turbat is just pn base ??
