PAF Air Chief checks out on F-15 Eagle

There are so many questions that come to mind
Despite having a 360 view thorough the canopy he didn't realize that he had 1 wing?
In a sheer moment of panic he didn't realize that he had 1 wing and if he did would he have ejected?
Why risk his life? Maybe he knew it all along and wanted to spice up his story.

. . . .
how so ??

What do you mean?

These are some pics from that DACT.

Reliable sources tell me the Pak AF's new F-16 MLUs consistently beat Saudi Eagles and Typhoons during manoeuvres in Taif, RSA in May.

Reliable sources also say that the Eagles also got back at them but way less compared to PAF ones. Very unprofessional of the Saudi Typhoon CO but there are some in our own air force that have had similar moments in overseas exercises (not going to mention which particular ones as most are still in service). Exercises should not be taken as who did better than who.....more like in terms of learning experiences. But then again...nothing else satisfies the average Pakistani from hearing how invincible the mighty air force is (pilots ONLY.....complete lack of credit for the maintenance & ground personnel). But I guess we all have our unique opinions on what facts are presented.

Running with Rabbits, hunting with Hounds comes to mind, first you were keen to find out about the incident and now you are critical about it however i am dismayed by your conclusion as to date i have been unable to obtain any inside info on the outcome of any of the exercises the PAF participated in except the usual lines of ''it was a mutually beneficial''.....even the subject was disclosed by a third party.
And i guess every Pakistani can't claim that he has served on servicing Block-40s so they remain oblivious that there is a whole team work involved in any exercise or mission but then again, we are not discussing reliability of the aircraft nor the sortie rate.

What you expecting? Drawing board results?

It was so bad that Americans had to bring in their own f15s in a hope to salvage some pride for their machine but as per source, they were also made to bleed.
You said there were spankings so I wanted to see the level of feedback....hope this clears the misunderstanding. Cheers !!!

Block 40s & 50s as a co-op student in the flight test engineering department to be precise. We have our own unique sources so I may not know everything and in a similar way not everything needs to be disclosed to you. Anyways I got my response. Cheers !!!

In flying, or even driving for that matter, the moment you are aware of abnormal flying from aircraft's behavior, the order is:

https://www.pea.com/blog/posts/6-pilot-rules-that-everyone-should-live-by/

- Aviate
- Navigate
- Communicate

To 'aviate' means to REGAIN and maintain controlled flight as much as you can. Other than your senses, your instruments are the things that will save your life. The three most important ones are: artificial horizon, airspeed, and altitude.

Wings level, above stall airspeed, and get plenty of airspace below you.

If he had panic, he would have died. But the fact that he regained controlled flight meant he did not panic, recognized how adverse his flying was, and concentrated on controlling the F-15 as much as he can. No need to be rubbernecking. Whether he was missing a wing or not, that knowledge is irrelevant and was irrelevant at that time. Regain controlled flight first, THEN see why you lost it.

Just like driving and a tire blows. Asymmetric traction and slippage are the first visible signs that you are losing controlled driving conditions. Regain control and maintain straight heading. Then worry about the tire.
