Padmaavat' gets smooth clearance for Pakistan release

Why did the Hindus wanted a ban on it? If it portray Muslims in bad light than Hindu should had been happy?

I looked it up and the actual reason appears to be because there was a rumour that there was a scene where the muslim king has a dream about being intimate with the Hindu queen.

The Hindus can't take it if a muslim is in love with a hindu woman in a fictional movie. It's getting bad for Indian muslims now. They can't dream of Hindu woman or even eating a burger.

Any Indian that supports this movie will now be called a Pakistani by the saffronis, and it will cause division. A very small step like this can ruffle the feathers of the Indian community. Our censor boards have banned movies for less, so this is the only logical explanation for this move.

Point is if a similar movie was made with the gender roles reversed, there would be blood and headless corpses.
