PAC Making It's Mark in Manufacturing

I have a proposal. Pakistan is a country of 220 Million people. It seems that the talent of Pakistan nation lies in the manufacturing of good quality Military Products. How about we focus only on establishing Military Industrial Complexes and produce high quality military products for export and for use internally. Just like China has become the Global manufacturing hub of consumer products, how about Pakistan becoming the hub of Military manufacturing??
No, that's incredibly limiting yourself and if you have the talent and capabilities to produce military grade equipment, it's only a matter of application to produce a whole load of other types of products, including consumer products. Also a country with such a large population 100% has a diverse talent pool in multiple areas, we are not some sort of robotic nation that has the same interest, capabilities and affinity. I'm talking from engineering to genetic research to everything else. It's a matter of providing the right facilities to bring this talent out.

The only reason you are seeing this right here was because of determination and the support we received from China. This could be the foundation of something great in this field in the future.

You can replicate this in many different fields and excel at each one if you harness the right talent pool and provide the right education.

(China will dominate the low-end price of this market, and the west will dominate the high-end for the foreseeable future.)

.
I'm as excited as you are but to feed a country of 220 million people we need to be a manufacturing hub of consumer products first. We are doing well in military space & will continue to do so. It's our consumer area & stagnant export base that needs attention. Our private sector is weak & can't compete. Defense deals require a lot of international influence which comes after economic independence.

Yes indeed, but it seems that FIGHTING is imbedded in the DNA of Pakistan people. Just look around you, everyone is fighting for petty things. So why not make the correct use of this and let them make Military hardware so they can focus on something they love.

Fighting translates more into being disciplined soldiers and pilots, not really engineers. I don't think most engineers care much about fighting, it's more about the technological aspect of creating a machine that can do wonders.

Guys ... We are not manufacturing but assembling.

This is ok but not something very big ... PAC is better than others but everywhere in the world military has the latest technologies available with them as they have the biggest budgets.

Sorry but countries much smaller than us are doing much better than us like south africa italy.

So yes this is ok but not something out of the world

We are manufacturing many parts locally, assembling them together and also with imported parts manufactured in China and Russia

Saab 2000-based Erieye airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft. Damaged during a terrorist attack and eventually recovered and put back into operation was truly a milestone and a feather in the cap of PAC capabilities.

SAAB and F16 repair were indeed great achievements. Even SAAB has told us to write it off and there seemed no hope for F16 either. But people forgot they are dealing with people who kept Mirages 3 and 5 flying for over 50 years and still going. Our love affair with mirages is unheard of 😍

Amongst all the doom and gloom, the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) has been repeatedly making it's impact with it's aircraft manufacturing capabilities.
Apart from the world's major aircraft producing countries such as America, Russia, France and China, no other country can boast of meeting their dead lines and lining up their facilities forecourts with a dozen or more shining jets to be shipped out to customers and home squadrons. Besides Pakistan, which is just a developing country, no other Muslim state has this capability.
This is also a slap on the naysayers who think Pakistanis in general walk around wearing bullet proof vests with an AK-47 slung over their shoulders or that our education institute only preach beheadings and mainly produce fanatics.
No doubt we do have our share of shortcomings but there are institutions in Pakistan that are world class admired by many and pride of every Pakistani....PAC is one such department which shines like a Diamond.

These are just some of it's achievements.

Never seen footage from the 1st image of the JF-17 being rolled out at nite.

Is it available on YouTube?

I think a proper Documentary is due on the JF-17. The fist one was titled a 'Documentary', but it was barely a featurette.

PAF's PR is the weakest of all Armed Forces branches.

We were expecting 2 JF-17B3s this year turned out to be 10-11

Hats off to PAC for what they indeed have achieved in the region. The engineers and maintenance guys deserve a lot more credit for where PAC has come so far. @airomerix is one of the people who contributed to the JF-17 program. Hopefully one day this goes up to be a secure corporation with professional marketing, not only with air force command.

Sad to say the JF-17B program may have lost a few potential customers recently, but that might change in a few months time.

Been a while to see @airomerix around?

K-8 Jet Trainer jointly produced by PAC and Nanchang is another success story.
