Please don't waste my time with this childish quibbling. If you consult a Muslim knowledgeable in these matters, he (or she) will inform you that Muslims are bound to live according to the laws of the land. Furthermore, many Muslim countries in north Africa, and in Turkey earlier before Erdogan, had little or nothing to do with Sharia.Secularism is not compatible with Islam.
Secularism mean separation of state and religion. Islam endorses Sharia. Islam and Sharia aren't compatible with each other.
A Muslim can't be secular until he abandons Islam.
Same goes for Christian and Jews.
Lastly, you probably don't know that English common law jurisprudence was derived from the legal systems evolved in Sicily, that had been under Arab occupation until its reconquest by the de Hautevilles.
Christians have adapted to a secular system, and were the first to do so. So have Jews outside Israel.
