was captured in by the US with Pakistani help and later moved to some gulf country Oman i think.

Now he is poised to be the president.

Lets see where his inclinations settle on.

His inclination is still towards Pakistan....Oops!!.

He was under protective custody of Pakistan treated well and respectfully. Pakistan had to make a point to US then...

That's correct. he was taken into custody and then hidden while the yankee doodling dandies were told that he is under arrest and yet, he was kept in a safe location until the time was right where even the satellites couldn't track him.

Its applaudable to see Taliban entering Kabul without bloodshed and forgiving people. The US has built an image of savagery and barbarism. I'm sure nothing bad will happen to the scared shitless RAW agents.

If your intentions are noble, he will reciprocate. If you want to continue to be a spoiler, he will show you the door.

Simple.

Yes, given the number of counteracting forces at play , I think Afghanistan's days being led by the nose are over.
I am betting on Taliban entrenching themselves and securing positions , so a few years of calm might be in the cards for the region.

Afghans looking to catch a flight out of Kabul overran the airport today

New Delhi:
Over 200 Indians including Foreign Ministry staff and paramilitary soldiers tasked for their protection are yet to be evacuated from Afghanistan's capital Kabul, sources have told NDTV.
An Indian aircraft is parked at the chaotic Kabul airport, sources said, adding the big concern is how to safely bring the staff from the Indian mission compound to the airport. The Taliban has enforced a curfew in the city, they said.
The Indians stranded in Kabul include some 100 personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police or ITBP, tasked with protecting the Indian mission in Afghanistan.
The Afghan airspace has been closed to commercial flights after thousands of desperate people overran the tarmac this morning in the hope of getting out of the war-torn country, a day after the Taliban took control of the city. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has already left the country.

The Cabinet Secretary is meeting with Foreign Ministry officials to work out the evacuation plan, which is already in place, in detail, sources said.

Questions are being raised on why the Indian mission staff were not evacuated in the last three-four days when the situation on the ground was changing fast, sources have said. The missions of other nations in the war-torn country had been thinning out when Taliban started taking city after city before encircling Kabul and entering the city on Sunday.

where is the indian airforce... i demand it

Satellites do not track people. Americans knew where Mullah Baradar was being kept all along. He was released upon the request of Trump administration to commence talks, reform Afghan Taliban, and pave way for settlement of conflict. Mullah Baradar is co-founder of Afghan Taliban movement and he was the best man to talk to in this respect.

Let us not forget that the Al-Qaeda Network was the real monster and spoiler in the region. Al-Qaeda Network had managed to poison many minds as well as bribe many to their cause in the region unfortunately. The fundamental objective of this war was to dismantle Al-Qaeda Network in the region (I have pointed out this fact time-and-again). Afghan Taliban were not declared terrorists by the US Department of State at any point in time however. This is where some of the narratives fall apart.

Many have given their own spins to the war in Public discourses, and facts got buried beneath layers of questionable narratives over time. This is why Pakistan itself does not have a coherent narrative in regards to this theme.

Indians play the role of spoiler in the region no doubt. They want to isolate Pakistan on international stage. They play the role of spoiler by inciting others against Pakistan. If Pakistan remains on bad terms with USA and Afghanistan then India stands to gain from this dynamic.

Pakistani diaspora needs to play its part in cultivating a positive image of Pakistan in foreign countries. Do not underestimate Indian diaspora in USA and other foreign countries.

We should temporarily evacuate Indian diplomats due to unstable situation in Afghanistan.

BUT make no mistake we will recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Indo-Afghan relations will further increase and Indian embassy and some consulates will reopen.
Construction of Shahtoot dam may resume too. Inshallah.

This is what happened in 1992, same will happen soon:

From The India Cable:

UNSC chair India mum on Afghanistan

Much was made of PM Modi ‘chairing’ the UN Security Council (UNSC) meet, though India holds the rotational chair for the eighth time. Dramatic events in Afghanistan were met with complete silence from the India-headed UNSC and India itself was absolutely mum. With an unfriendly Taliban government in Kabul, strategic options for India, already embattled on two fronts, will be complicated.

India is preparing to evacuate hundreds of its officials and citizens from Kabul with the Taliban in effective control after President Ashraf Ghani fled yesterday. PTI reports that an IAF fleet of C-17 Globemaster is on standby for evacuation missions.

. .
The new Afghan government will have normal diplmatic relations with all countries including India. Afghan people appreciate India's assistance in different fields and we hope to continue a good relationship with India and all our neighbours. We will not allow any country to use our soil for their own interest whether it's India or any other country. Afghanistan's self interest come first
