As much I ve hated the army establishment and their abuse of power, I feel they have become a necessary evil considering the situation Pakistan is. Its sad to see people dont realise the same scenario was cooked up in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Egypt etc, where the people were incited to stand up against the state while foreign power executed their agendas. Look where those countries are today. I urge the people of my country to open their eyes, ignore what propaganda political parties are feeding you and don't go against the state and armed forces. Criticism is one thing. We wont have a country left if the armed forces are maligned the way the way they are being today.
I’m aware of that and I had pointed out earlier also why courts favour IK, after all, isn’t it alleged that Army has judiciary under its control since military generals are controlling Pakistan. So why can’t military influence Supreme Court.
Exactly what happened in Syria, large protests were organised, Bashar was called corrupt, incompetent, a kafir, traitor, Usa agent (although he is pro Russia), then some people were killed and then armed rebellion. What did it achieve? Have the Syrian finished corruption. Libya was a rich country, they were living the life, free education, house, health. But the rebels requested nato airpower support and toppled gaddafi. Is Libya liberated yet?
We need peaceful protests for major reforms, pressurise the establishment/government to make reforms. Attacking corp commander Houses, bases, ghq will not solve the problem. IK had denied any involvement, he wants them prosecuted but PDF members, Facebook, twitter fans were calling for violence.
The plan is to turn people against the army, the cause is always genuine but with a bit of twist. Establishment needs to use its brains, give answers to the propaganda, encourage for free and fair elections, give the mandate to the corrupt awaam.
Army does not need ISPR, army should be under ministry of defence and ultimately answerable to civil admin and not be independent..
Any defence related matters should be vocalised through mod spokesperson..
Chalo, at least army doesn’t control judiciary. That’s a relief. The courts were after General Musharaff aswell, he had to hide in military hospital, couldn't the generals make a phone call? The courts went against General Musharaff who had the whole army behind him, this was when he had to declare emergency. So its not 100% true that courts are being controlled. This same chief justice was hated and called traitor for removing IK but now is a hero
