Our tool kit to tackle terror not restricted, India tells Pakistan

.
We'll see. Give me a heads up when the IWT is abrogated.

You don't read the papers ? :P

Foreign policy is not the same as domestic policies. Every PM has a domestic constituency that he must address. I don't agree that there was some message to the Pakistanis here. A phone call by someone senior could do a far better job of that. As far as being blinded etc...., we will see. I do not consider these comments as being anything of high significance. Not at this point in time.

You can't be serious !!!!

A press release by a very senior diplomat in a press conference specially convened to send this message is "NO Message" ? :cheesy:

You mean to tell me that Syed Akbaruddin was just making loose talk ?

Modi does have a domestic constituency which he will address on 15 Aug :P ...... I am sure he could have waited till then to play to the domestic audience than make a press release via the external affairs ministry to cater to this "domestic constituency".

pakistan military establishment is a consortium of parasites, not a individual driven model to be addressed with a single phone call.

Modi in his usual fashion has tried to kill 2 birds with one stone. The message has gone out loud and clear. Now let us see how it plays out.

We both know what "something stupid" means in the context I gave.

So far, Modi has shown that he is a man of the people, and if the people demand blood, he'll give them blood. In the end, he's a populist leader. If he isn't willing to make decisions that may piss off his countrymen, then he's not the type of leader that India needs.

He is not a populist leader, he is a popular leader.

He is exactly the kind of leader India needs - the nation has had a decade of stupidity.

Why would the people want blood ? They have their lives to live & children to look after.

India needs peace & stability both within and in the region. Modi is working towards it and is expected to react in a manner so as to stablise / control things when they go awry.

. .
you misspelled, Mo0di is a man of pieces of indian minorities, again how many innocent Muslims did he kill? 20 thousand!

This is not a school debate - stay on topic & post sense not out of context childish remarks.

. . . .
Did he report you for being a Brahmin or for not being a Brahmin ? :P

He told me to not to quote his post.Well this is not thread reserved for brahmins .He report me for that and I reported him.
I have some Brahmin ancestors also.
But I am not a brahmin.

I think India's democratically elected Hindu Fascist Prime Minister Narendra Modi is darpoke just like another previously democratically elected Hindu Fascist Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpaye.

If Indian military has the guts, then just come within 1 (one) centimetre of Pakistan and the world will witness how India is turned into a black hole in a single nuclear flash.
It would be stupid of us to enter even 1 centimetre of Pakistan because we don't wanna disturb your yahoos whose doing excellent job for us and pls don't use your atomi bum on us i beg you :D

.
Pakistan should go slow with its strategic assets, this guy is very strong willed and can match his words with actions.
O really than let him try to stupid move we are ready

If an incident occurs, do you really think the people won't demand swift military action?

Regardless, it seems we both have a different view of whom Modi is. Only time will tell which one of us is correct.

He wants peace. But your PA is least interested. They continue with the proxy war which they've waged against India since decades.

They have been using these terrorists as cannon fodder to keep Kashmir on the boil as the PA can't embark on a direct confrontation with the Indian Army. This is a pretty cost effective strategy that doesn't hurt the PA.

What better way for revenge for the 1971 drubbing? We need to learn this strategy of proxy war from the PA/ISI. Our RAW seems to be in sleep mode at present. They need to wake up instead of just bellyaching. After all, two can play the proxy game, right?
This arguing has been had in hundreds of threads, so I won't even bother continuing it.

Unlikely to mean much, there is no big trigger. The ceasefire violations need a talking about which is what has happened here. No point for PM Modi to leave his flanks exposed to criticism. The main point of interest however is the Foreign Secretaries meeting. That is still on. I think the more important question is whether Nawaz Sharif has complete control or have Pakistan's internal issues started to weigh on him. That is what is being watched. If the conclusion is that he may be a bit of a lame duck, then you are likely to see non-verbal hardening of stance along with the rhetoric. Till then, this is just some general rhetoric. The FS meeting will give a more clearer picture to Indian analysts on NS's position.
The ball is firmly with India. NS is far from being a lame duck, and gesture towards India prove that there is a willingness to improve ties with India. PA has not interfered at all, and if it has, the interference has been ineffectual.

Instead of continuing to watch for something that has already appeared, India needs to act.

Pakistan's 'Denials' on Terror Not Worthwhile: India

New Delhi: India yesterday came down hard on Pakistan for its criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his proxy war comments and asserted that terrorism was a "core concern" in its bilateral ties with Pakistan and all means available will be used to deal with the challenge.

In a strong reaction, the External Affairs Ministry said the Prime Minister was articulating India's concerns about terrorism emanating from Pakistani soil and India will deal with it effectively as its "tool kit is not restricted in any manner".

"Terrorism for us is a real and present danger. The Prime Minister was articulating what is for us the core concern in our relation with Pakistan. Mere denials of selective approaches towards terrorism are not going to drive away our concerns," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said.

Earlier, Pakistan had dubbed Mr Modi's remarks that the neighbouring country was indulging in a proxy war as "baseless rhetoric" and said both countries should focus on resolving issues instead of engaging in blame game.

"India will in any case address its concerns on terrorism through all means available to us. Our tool kit is not restricted in any manner," the Spokesperson said.

He said India's concerns stem from the fact that some of the worst terrorist attacks in the country owe the genesis to areas which were either in Pakistani control or in Pakistan and referred to the Parliament attack and 26/11 Mumbai strikes.

Asked whether the talks between Foreign Secretaries of the two countries will go ahead, he only said they are meeting following directives from Prime Ministers of both the countries to be in touch and look at the way forward in bilateral ties.
