Same applies to the Russian Empire to be honest even before WW1 the empire was plagued with problems.

It applies to all European Empires sadly.

Thanks for these two golden pdfs.

I just looked into it I realised the Ottomans were not so ignorant of submarines because it seems they ordered 4 subs. 2 from the British and 2 from the French only to be cancelled as the Ottomans joined WW1 on the side of Germany.

The ottomans should have joined the allies , who knows they could have eypgt back bar a few restrictions on the Suez along with possibly Bosnia albania etc

True, but in early 1914 allies were desperate, I believe the ottomans could have exploited

Maybe. But, Im of opinion that Otomans should have stayed out of that european family feud, which what WWI essentially was. While they were kiling each other, deplating their resources for 4 years, Ottomans would have a chance to continue with its modernisation of army, economy, sociaty... preparing itself for the aftermath after the war, and use exhaustion of european blocks after or close to the end of the war to strike back, or offer its support to the likely victor for large concessions.


It would be much more easier to go for Caucusus and Azerbejan in 1917, then it was at the begining of the war. Just on these fronts Ottomans lost large amount of troops and resources. And so on...

Again, this is just my opinion, being history and military buff doesnt make me an expert

Even if Ottomans had joined the Allies and Ended up as victors it was bound to Dismantle as all of the european and other empires sooner or Later.It was not Feasible in Modern age.
British Empire and French, Portugese and other euroepan colonies all fell even after winning two wars. Austrohungarians, Germans, Italians etc etc etc. Everyone Retracted back to their homeland rule.
Russian Empire fell during WW1 even during the war being on Allied side.
Even the Formidable Soviet union had a troubled time and finally succumbed to its fate.
Republic of Turkey same to Ottoman Empire as UK is to British Empire.
