Osama bin Laden had support network in Pakistan: Barack Obama

Osama bin Laden, who lived in a compound in Abbottabad for six years, had "some kind of support" infrastructure inside Pakistan and this aspect needs to be investigated, US President Barack Obama has said.

His comments came as his top security advisor said there was no evidence so far that the Pakistan Government knew about the al-Qaida chief's presence in the country.

"We think that there had to be some sort of support network for bin Laden inside of Pakistan," Obama told the CBS show '60 Minutes' in his first public comment on the issue.

The US called on government of Pakistan to conduct an investigation into how Osama was able to live so long in a military cantonment area of Pakistan, in an affluent suburb of Islamabad.

"We don't know whether there might have been some people inside of [Pakistan's] government, people outside of government, and that's something that we have to investigate and, more importantly, the Pakistani government has to investigate," Obama said.

The interview conducted Wednesday is scheduled to be aired on Sunday.

Obama said the Pakistani government has indicated that they have a profound interest in finding out what kinds of support networks bin Laden might have had.

"But these are questions that we're not going to be able to answer three or four days after the event. It's going to take some time for us to be able to exploit the intelligence that we were able to gather on site," he said, according to the excerpts.

And the US wants to know the names of ISI employees who had dealings with OBL and AQ -- And people in hell want ice water?

Wait a minute now, Pakistan needs these answers for herself and certainly the Pakistan state has managed to show herself in the worst possible light, again and again, the army and her ISI are center stage hogging the spot light -- but does that mean the intelligence agency will now sell her operatives to foreigners?? Well, it had better not and in all sincerity, it won't.

But with that said, Pakistani authorities and state institutions must be cleansed of islamist ideology - they just, must. Pakistanis ar owed this and the army and the sate must deliver.

The only thing which comes in mind is that there are few in Pakistani establishment who think that , US will leave Pakistan for the fifth time in near future.
a, Many nations in Pakistan will demand Independence (division of Pakistan)
b, US will do with Pakistan what they did with Iraq
c, before taking oil from Central Asia a week broken Pakistan will be submitted to Greater India
d, ANP , MQM , Sindi Nationalist plus Baloch will welcome outsiders to crush Punjab

So they are insecure and see Jihadi to stop all the above
