The point of such posts is to show our Indian friends the mirror every now and then of the human cesspool that exists in their own backyards. Remember when you point a finger at someone (like Pakistan), you have three pointing back at yourself. Extremism, barbarism and human indecency is more characteristic of the Indian psyche then it is anywhere else in the world.

Characteristic of the Indian psyche? So according to you, "Extremism, barbarism and human indecency" is innate to Indians? You feel this has nothing to do with poverty and illiteracy but everything to do with being Indian? This is not the result of the socio-economic environment that breeds superstition but a result of Indian citizenship?

If we were to extend your interesting rationale across the border, it could be said that suicide bombings, archaic superstition that subjugates women, an environment of hatred that breeds medievalist movements like the Taliban, has nothing to do with illiteracy and poverty and everything to do with being Pakistani.

Such inhuman practises exist in all developing and developed countries. The only reason they make news is because they are rare and shocking. So we dont need a moral lecture from you. First try giving women in Pakistan some voice, emancipate them, and treat them equally. Quit fingerpointing at India, you couldnot save the Swati chick from getting flogged, nor the couple who got killed for having an affair.

It's just the way things work these days IceCold.
Most of the time, you hear the craziest or most disgusting news coming from Indian rural lands and most of the time, farmers are involved or very low or uneducated people.

Two major differences.

1. Indian Government has not approved the beheading. In Swat case, it is approved by your government by means of Sharia, Peace deal etc.

2. GoI has not come out & denied this report. GoP completely rubbished the video as fake & made a fool of itself since rest of the world did not agree.

Still curious why Pakistan makes headlines all over the world for such incidents & India does not?

It's amazing to me how indians members are trying to divert this thread into pakistan matter when a 10 year old girl got beheaded by her father for harvest. I don't even find one indian member feeling genuine sorry for the girl or showing any rejection to the pagan socity yet they are pointing finger to a member who post this article. Amazing indeed.

And yes you are right when all the pathetic western media was giving a full coverage to the Swat flogging video, not one will have the moral decency to highlight this one because its happened in India. Imagine if the same would have happened in Pakistan?

I think it's quite clear that both Pakistan and India are still developing and parts of each country are extremely poor without much in the way of education/services. These things will happen.

Afterall, we in the "enlightened" West burned witches, thought Trial by Ordeal or Trial by Combat was acceptable because God would ensure the innocent would pass the test.

Trying to project such incidents across the entire populace is just silly.
