and someone commented an idea about creation of Organization of Buddhist Nations on the lines of OIC .
How feasible is this idea and will it have any impact ?
Will it help these smaller nations in any way ?

The very idea of Buddhism runs counter to the idea of nations...given nationalism is really a vice/attachment.

I think keeping everything bilateral should serve all buddhist and dharmic nations the best....since nations are temporary...the ultimate truth is not!

There is one, it's called NATO. Also, India is an observer state of OIC and the only reason you aren't part of it is because Pakistan vetoed it.

If religion was something which bound national policies together there would not have been 22 countries in the Arab countries most of whom are at each other's neck . Heck they share even languages .

Its because of worldly outlook not Religion , reason why even Turkey is a part of NATO and is trying to be in EU .

Togo, Uganda have high number of Christian and other religious population population and only have 20% and 13% Muslim population, but they are still part of OIC. Gabon has less than 7% Muslim population. In fact a lot of the African members of OIC don't have majority Muslim population.

A lot of them there are for AID and hardly get anything done for them as far as geopolitics go . I am glad Pakistan blocks India's every attempt to join such a organization . Its already dysfunctional.

Don't know why we are even there as an observer tbh. Seems a waste of money and time....that are best used in actual bilateral relations.

Eu was fighting at one time till they come up an agreement to move forward hand in hand instead of fight each other for power.

The reason could be race if not Christianity. Turkey is still far away from EU.

In India though, some Christians are first Christians then Indians . On many occasions Christian cop has released foreign citizens for them being Christian or Church did not bother to inform police for crimes commited by bishops, instead the crimes were reported to Vatican. So Chirstian alliance is pretty much exsistent to an extent .
