Operation Swift Retort Memorial at PAF base Sargodha

Sir you already have so many problems with me so please avoid quoting me until or unless I again ' violate ' any forum role. Thanks. " He dared to challenge the PAF package and was promptly shot down" answers your question..

Problems with you? May be you are reading too much into things but not the case from side so, relax.

Dared to challenge, is more relative to air warfare. You have to read as what it is called and how it is taken into consideration as such.... a challenge means to have a Radar lock which ultimately alarms pilot at other end and then, cat & mouse game starts to break the lock and furthermore, only daring one will return with surprise to locking back and taking a shot. However, that does not mean that both are looking at each other while flying in close proximity which may be possible for WVR but here is the case of BVR and I am quoting directly from PAF as to what you referred.... this is about radar range which is your eye to see not the visual you have. I have a range to track for 100+KM and shoot that means I can still remain within my air space and can lock 100+KM cross the border so doesn't mean I crossed the IB. F-16 didn't need to cross LoC (for brief time period) for that matter. Indians been whining that F-16s were used for strike package and ISPR clarified in advance that F-16s were not part of Strike Package. F-16s were on CAP/supporting/protecting our strike package and that exactly answers your question.

tell me why you thinks that our F-16 went across LOC for BVR shot against MKI @alee92nawaz

YES, PAf F16 went across LOC as they were escorting the strike package. As clearly mentioned in the caption on the wall that SU30MKI was shot down when it challenged the PAF strike Package

Also Air Commodore (R) has given all details in his blog about this. SU30MKI was first to go down at about 9:36 that morning 70 KM inside IOK by PAF escort F16. U can read all details on the link below

"PAF’s approaching strike force had, meanwhile, rung frantic alarms on the Indian air defence radars, and patrolling fighters were directed to intercept them. Struggling to sift through the degraded communications environment, IAF fighters were unable to understand the instructions of their air defence controllers. An F-16 pair led by Sqn Ldr Hasan Siddiqui of the elite Combat Commanders’ School, was vectored towards two approaching IAF fighters flying in an extended trail formation. The very long range at which the adversary aircraft appeared on the F-16 radar scopes suggested that these were big targets, most likely Su-30MKI. After sampling the target data and confirming valid firing parameters, Hasan let go an AIM-120C (AMRAAM)[8] at 0936 hours, and promptly announced ‘Fox Three,’ the brevity code for an active radar-guided missile launch. Missile flight data fed back to the F-16 fire control computer in real-time, seemed to indicate that the missile had made its mark."

It's a speculation like alot of people speculate. There was a reason indians were crying about F-16s violating their airspace. It is possible that the F-16s were inside azad kashmir but it's more than likely that they crossed LOC
remember first DGISPR press conference on 27 FEB he clearly said that our F-16 were CAP inside Pakistani airspace and AMRAAM C-5 has enough range to deter any enemy jets within their territory, its clear cut from day 1 that our F-16 didn't went across the LOC for kill @alee92nawaz :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

This kind of confirms the point that IAF aircrafts were unable to communicate that day. Really embarrassing for 4th largest airforce in the world

Ok bhai jan

JF 17 and Thunder is same, so why mention it like that. it gives the impression that JF 17 and Thunder are two different AC.

in my uneducated mind, could have been better to just say, " F-16 and JF-17 Thunder in air to air , while thunder and mirages in strike."

wait for bharti vayu sena replying with bigger f-16 model.....sari duniy amae zalil ho gai magar sharam nai aai

The whole thing is written in old colonial style English which complicates a reader’s understanding of what the PAF is trying to say and the message they want to convey. Beyond messaging, this colonial mentality is prevalent among Pakistanis and the entrenching of the elitist culture. We routinely find this colonial culture in the interactions between the moderators/senior members and the general users of the forum. It’s a sickness which masquerades as knowledge/power.

My two cents.

Did you know that Pakistan Air force has Indian Airforce communication recording including Mission and isometric op images :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::rofl:

Why can’t they release it and settle the whole confusion? PAF is walking IAF territory with these silly claims.

Thanks.
I understand, it just causes confusion for general public, if they pay attention.

It violates every principle of the plain language rule. In developed countries such as the US which have English as a native language, it’s enshrined in the law books for private and government organizations to use plain language.

Pakistan which has limited English speakers wants to use colonial style English. You see this in press releases by ISPR, ministry of foreign affairs, PMO, you name it. It’s phony elitist tendency.

so where this say our F-16 ventured in IOK and JF-17 radar range is much less then our F-16 blk-52, JF-17 with mirages for escorts and there were also erieye in the area so the detection of MKI is no problem for PAF with in Pakistani airspace @Amavous
