Official Military Spokesman:

- 1 killed (Sleman Eyad Attia Sleman) while trying to escape a checkpoint by Nakhl central Sinai. Further investigation found that he was an escaped convict who was serving a life sentence. He escaped prison after the security vacuum left by the revolution.

- 1 terrorist arrested conducting aggressive reconissance against a checkpoint in Alqasima central Sinai

- Weapons seized across central Sinai

تمكنت قوات الجيش الثالث الميدانى من تنفيذ عدد من المداهمات ضد العناصر والبؤر الإرهابية بوسط وجنوب سيناء والتى أسفرت عن النتائج الآتية :
ـــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــ

1) مقتل المدعو ( سليمان عياد عطيه سليمان ) بنيران القوات أثناء محاولته الهروب بسيارة ربع نقل قرب منطقة ( نخل ) بوسط سيناء ، حيث رفض الإمتثال لأوامر القوات بالتوقف محاولاً إقتحام الكمين ، وتبين أنه هارب من السجن المؤبد أثناء الإنفلات الأمنى الذى أعقب ثورة يناير ومطلوب فى عدة قضايا سرقة بالإكراه ومقاومة السلطات .

2) ضبط فرد إرهابى أثناء قيامه بمراقبة أحد الأكمنة قرب مدينة ( القصيمة ) بوسط سيناء .

3) ضبط وإحراز [عدد ( 3 ) بندقية آلية - بندقية خرطوش - أسلحة بيضاء - عدد ( 574 ) طلقة مختلفة الأعيرة - كمية من نبات الأفيون والبانجو المخدرين ] بمنطقة ( وادى سهب ) بوسط سيناء .

4) ضبط وإحراز [عدد ( 2 ) بندقية آلية - عدد من الطلقات مختلفة الأعيرة - خوذ رأس من مخلفات الحروب ] بمنطقة ( الحسنة ) بوسط سيناء .

5) ضبط وإحراز [ رشاش عيار ( 9 ) مم ماركة ( لانشستر ) - بندقية مورس - عدد ( 500 ) بمبة هاون عيار مصغر - عدد ( 2 ) نظارة ميدان - عدد ( 2 ) دراجة بخارية بدون لوحات معدنية ] قرب منطقة ( نخل ) بوسط سيناء .

6) ضبط وتدمير عدد من أحواض الزراعات المخدرة بمناطق وسط وجنوب سيناء .

Egyptian Armed Forces operations on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2015:-

- 15 terrorists killed and unknown number wounded during attacks which killed five Egyptian personnel during simultaneous attacks on checkpoints stationed in Elshiekh Zewaid and Alaraish.

- Retaliatory operations supported by AH-64D Apache helicopters resulted in the death of 40 terrorists in Elshiekh Zewaid.

- Tens of terrorists injured

Total number killed in retaliatory strikes:-
