OP-ED: China will not pick sides in India-Pakistan disputes

The Chinese have supplied us weapons, often beyond our means, especially if we had to look for suppliers elsewhere. They're keeping our economic prospects afloat with investments in infrastructure and development projects. We also enjoy their diplomatic support, and we can rely on them to help us de-escelate tensions with India, which is exactly what we want in the first place, we don't want or could afford war.

China may give diplomatic support during a war against India, but I doubt China would fight with us in a war against India, unless China gets something out of it.

Even we Pakistanis did not side with China against India during 1962.

I think Pakistan should do exactly the same and should not at all interfere with US/NATO wanting to destabilize Western Chinese provinces of Xinjiang, Gansu, and Ningxia. I think Turkey will get involved as well. Surely China is such a great Superpower that it does not need any help at all to deal with US/NATO. We would all definitely see the mighty Chinese in action trying to protect their provinces.

Just diplomatic maneuvering to indirectly tell the u.s. not to take sides if it doesn't want China to get involved...that's all. notice how india's new boyfriend and "strategic partner" uncle sam silently stood by as we repeatedly bitchslapped her over and over again. Even india's ex boyfriend just kept quiet and silently enjoyed the show.

Basically, the world in general and the u.s. in particular ditched india and her narrative...she stood isolated and humiliated. I think China will always help Pakistan diplomatically and economics, or with selling military hardware, but no one wants to enter a shooting war between India and Pakistan. In fact the whole world wants peace between the two nations.
