What's new

Ongoing armed struggle in Myanmar.

We can't ask Islamic Military Alliance to wage a war against Myanmar. We inform corresponding parties about the situation. They decide to do nothing.
You are still not specific what kind of help you are suggesting from Ummah. Its Rohingya and 2nd Bangladesh has to ask for specific help. I am sure none of the request will be turned down.

I'm open to all sort of help. Islamic military alliance can wage a war on Myanmar and destroy it, I don't care. Or at least put diplomatic pressure via UN.

Why do we have to suggest them? Can't they think themselves?

.
Last time we did talk with both Malaysia and Indonesia. Afaik Malaysia did release statements in this issue. Indonesia probably provided aid via Bangladesh. That's all.
So, what else you want from them? We share border with Arakan not them. We should make the political approach not them.
We can't risk a war. No point burning our own home with other's fire.
We cant do it alone even if we want to.
Last time we did inform OIC too.
When we aren't connected with ummah. Just notifing OIC will do nothing. We have to call and speak boldly with them.
It's not about Bangladesh. It's about Rohingyas. So Rohingyas not part of Ummah? We informed them about mistreatment of Rohingyas and they don't give a sh!t.
Just tell me where ummah is going to deliver their support for Rohingyas?

Any peaceful solution for rohingiya issue??
Well, like North Korean nuclear issue there isn't any peaceful solution for Rohingya issue.

.

In Arakan.
Just notifing OIC will do nothing.
It would've, if they cared.

They did what they could. We are doing what we can. No point asking for more. They could've put economic pressure via ASEAN but no, they didn't deem it worth.

For any invasion you need to allow them in southern chittagong. Also to legitimize the war you have to arm the local first. Others will go later to put and end to it. Will your government walk the extra mile or just keep on asking for things which has no name in it.

They can at least put sanctions or embargo.

Some of the locals are armed. If Islamic Military Alliance wants to land in Southern Chittagong we will probably allow them.

MM hardly do any trade with the muslim world. They sustained sanction for 60 years now.

No we did not allow any Muslim country to run even NGO. We chased Turkey out of Bangladesh. Saudis were arrested for giving relief. You think people will come here to help you?? Government even did not register the refugee.

What? A lot of relief went through Bangladesh to Rohingyas.

Muslim world can try to influence their allies. Saudi can ask USA and Pakistan can ask China.

taking heavy weapons through dense jungles is not easy
Most of the ethnic groups that are revolting have no access to the sea

You are completely wrong in both the counts. A guerrilla war needs quick movement through rough terrain that can be done only with light weapons. See the map, you will see hundreds of kms of sea line in Arakan. Govt. troops cannot watch over the arms movement all the time and in all the places. It is more true for the Burmese ragtag army.

1.We'll be inviting UN sanctions.
2.We'll have a hostile Neighbour called Myanmar in our border. Do we want a India-Pakistan like relation in our borders?
3.It'll harm our relation with China. For decades China has been the biggest enabler of Myanmar. Look at all the projects they are doing in Myanmar.

Things have to be done diplomatically. If Muslim world cares then, Indonesia and Malaysia should put pressure on them through ASEAN. And there has has to be resolution against them at UN supported by Saudi, Iran, Turkey and their allies. We are doing what we can. We are already hosting many Rohyngas. We have asked Myanmar, UN and whoever we could reach to help solve this problem peacefully. Asking us to do more is asking too much.

1. UN sanctions from whom exactly? No-one important in the world would take the side of Myamar over BD. Myanmar can at best hope for neutrality.
2. Myanmar is already being hostile and unfriendly by trying to label 2 million of their citizens as BD'shi. What more will BD lose by supplying arms?
3. China wont care as over the long term it needs far larger and more homogenous BD than Myanmar.

BD should stop acting like a coward and threaten to start immediate arms supplies to Rohingya and other ethnic groups, if the dispicable Barmans do not stop their behaviour.

India is making a port in rakhine state namely sitwe port...from where gas being transported to north east India...is the port works influenced by the religious violence??

Myanmar also created problem in border with China. Myanmar ethnic cleansing creating issues for Chinese pipeline, transport and port projects. China initiated projects were stalled by new Myanmar regime. So China is not exactly happy the way things are moving in Myanmar. BUT Chinese silence and defacto support for Myanmar going against Bangladesh and Bangladeshis. It should not be lost that in recent past China blocked UNSC statement against Myanmar state terror against Rohigya people.

Unless China realizes that, it will harm Chinese interest in Bangladesh. There are other players (Japan, India, US ) are waiting on wing. If China thinks it can do away without Bangladesh and Bangladeshi interest, that is another thing we should not completely forget while we deal with China. I am traditionally pro China but Chinese actions or non actions are increasingly going against Bangladesh and Bangladeshi interest.

I agree with TopCat view that Bangladesh should at least (covertly) provide logistical support for these people to stand up on their own. It does not take that much to put up some resistance against Myanmar state sponsored genocide.

Can Muslim countries help? this question is argued for many pages. Truth is absolutely. There are some countries ready and willing to help but current awami league regime blocked their way. For example, Turkish delegation tried to go Chittagong and meet Rohingya's, they had good intentions but were blocked. Similarly, as far I know Iran was willing to help but again current awami league regime which serves indian interest, turned that down.

Current awami regime policy not to allow Rohigys into Bangladesh is utterly flawed one because they also blocking to solve the issue at source.

The fact is they are torturing The Rohingya muslums by the support of some countries. But the main suspect is MAyanmar Govt. That other issues comes from .

I am very disappointed at China blocking UN condemnation against the Myanmarese Barman animals.

Guys, would relations between BD and China suffer if BD was to start supplying arms to Rohingya and other rebels?
