Today the only plausible solution to Kashmir is that the LC becomes an IB with an open border. The terrorism in Kashmir is entirely up to Pakistan to regulate. The presence of security forces in Kashmir is directly related to the terror threat from Pakistan.

The sooner people realize that status quo is not going to change, the better.

sooner you realize that you can oppress, subjugate and impose your will on Kashmiris the sooner and closer you will be towards a solution to the problem.....otherwise the slippery slope will continue and Kashmiris will continue to resist

@Contrarian just for the record I do not necessarily take Pakistan's view on Kashmir. If today all Kashmiris decide they are fine with India I would care very little if it would stop the atrocities your army commits on the people there. I know that the GOP has selfish reasons behind its support for Kashmir (rivers) but that is not my agenda considering I do not benefit at all no matter which side the rivers fall on.

I always notice one thing from the tone and views of most indian hindus on kashmir.

They actually believe that hindus have a God-given right to rule over the entire sub-continent. Because the issue of Kashmir was not resolved in 1947, the indian hindus today are claiming kashmir as their territory even though it has a muslim majority.

Now Keep in mind if the partition of 1947 had not happened. The hindus would also want to rule over the muslim majority areas of punjab, sindh, KP(formerly NWFP) and Balochstan against the will of the local muslim population. Hence that is why most hindus were against partition in 1947. Ofcourse the muslims with their larger numbers would not have tolerated this persecution by hindus and if there was no partition, it would have led to a very brutal civil war.

I am not a hindu .On a side note every other religion want Kashmir to be Indian. Heck even the Indian Muslims leaving the Kashmiris want it to be Indian. India being a secular state can claim a province even though it is Muslim Majority.

The thing is why will world condemn it when Pakistani members themselves avoid these kind of discussions.

I avoid these threads because of uncivilized attitude, lack of sensible and logical approach and ignorance by certain members. I am being completely updated though.
