Once Again: Drone strike kills four people in Miranshah bazaar

If only Pakistan had eliminated these militants using its own resources like Air Force and ground troops. But that would have cost countless lives.

Instead of continually only bashing the Americans for these drone strikes, the question that needs to be asked is: who is providing target intel to the US for carrying out drone strikes? The CIA? ISI? Locals?

After all, without such intel inputs it is not possible to target specific locations. 'Search and destroy missions' aren't practical. Target selection most likely would start with human intelligence (HUMINT) and communications intelligence (COMINT) assets, who can identify the target at a certain point in time. Once the target is identified and their location is locked down, combat drones are deployed.

So, in summary, the target is first identified by human intelligence, signal emissions or other means, and then a mission is developed, drones allocated, and the mission is only then greenlighted.

It is therefore clear that some organization is at work in that region that is providing the info required for these drone strikes. So, who's doing it? That's the million dollar question. Or is it? I think we know the answer already. Instead of always bashing the Americans alone for these drone strikes, ask who is responsible for providing the target info?

Suspected Militants, yet we dont know who was targeted and who died.. Just some militants.. probably... hopefully??

And people still support drones, crazy!

And when the brother of a woman killed will blow himself up somewhere in Pakistan, we all will shout RIP.. bloody terrorist! yet we forget who is creating these terrorists!!

Thats what USA says as clarifications of the drone strike. PA and other forces can't reach those areas where this guys are working.

Jeez, whatever way you cut it this is just tragic. Looking at these things objectively it is just a joke that the US is allowed to get away with such operations and absolute (sick) joke.

To Pakistanis- you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing your govt(s) to green light these operations.

This is the result of their own deeds . They allow US to use their bases to checkmate S.U. since early days . Any soveriegn country should not allow to use their land for military purpose , its not matter that they are ally. They are also doing same mistake till today .
Pakistan should stand firm against US on drone strike not by words but by actions . But they should demolish all extremist outfits in pakstan which nobody Pakistani leader dare to do that.

Another example of Pakistani confusion -- If drones are so bad, why does PA want them and why does the govt of Pakistan support the PA getting them?

Muse, you duffer, it's not that - it sovereignty and the Revenge of the Mehsud, that's what really got us soling our underwear.

But wait, you already know the argument, if drones are a violation of Pakistani sovereignty than how come TTP, Haqqani, Uzbeks and Taliban taking over of Pakistani territory is not ??

Well, duffer, two wrongs don't make a right.

Ok, but why not then free Pakistani territory from TTP, etc etc and then if there are drones, you can win international support to end them?

there you again, you seek to rob us of everything

@muse sir, it is not the drones that are the issue- this is a red herring, it is how they are used and by whom. These things do not posses any conscious or reasoning- they are tools of a certain nation's foreign policy. There should be zero issue of the PA getting such systems-unless you inherently distrust the PA and fear what the PA will do with them.

This question is best put to those who oppose the use of drones on terrorists and their enablers.
