Once again. Chinese phone maker Xiaomi robbed $676 million by Indian government

Please advise Xiaomi to exit India if they are getting robbed. What kind of fools are they? You sitting in Canada knows this but Xiaomi doesn’t.
Moreover, we don’t need tax evading crooks from China.

We have enough of our own.
Everybody knows how your gov treats foreign investors in India when they are making money, just rob them with your "laws". Good luck to your country's development in the future.

This is my last reply to you.
It cannot be fair because the place was developed by Singapore.
The competition rode on Singapore success without having to pay for opening up the waste land and promoting the Industrial Park.
After the Singapore Park was successfully running and attracting new investors, the thieves build a competing Industrial Park and the local government directed ALL NEW ventures to their park.

Suzhou Industrial Park was built with Singapore in control as a showcase for the rest of China how Singapore runs its Industrial Parks.
China WANTED Singapore to run the Suzhou Industrial Park, because we are known to have very little corruption, at least that was what the Chinese Central Government wanted in 1994.

Go find investments in other countries if SG think it's easier and more profitable to do business elsewhere then. Why SG had not developed the Gwadar port in Pakistan in any degree after winning the contract for nearly a decade then ?

Try to form some cohesive arguments instead of ad-hominem comments. Refute what I said.
Everyone should start from zero and it can only go upwards from here. But pessimistic people like you will only make this journey difficult. A journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step!!

However, someone will claim royalty expense, and to me it is not clear if Foxconn instead is claiming royalty deduction. I could not find any information in public domain. If they are, then Xiaomi has no right to claim it, because it amounts to double accounting of expense. If Foxconn is not claiming royalty deductions, then Xiaomi India is entitled to claim it. The FEMA issue however will remain that there is no agreement between Xiaomi India and Qualcomm. The absence of such an agreement is in itself not an illegality, but Xiaomi India will have to prove that the phones in India are indeed using Qualcomm's proprietary technology.
wonder if its possible to build a modern smart phone without paying anything to Qualcomm ?

The impetus of 5G is to evade Qualcomm tax. To communication engineers, 5G is not so much impressive in RF domain. All are marketing.

But Europe and China quickly jump in.

Handset maker save a lot of monies by adopting 5G, by avoiding Qualcomm parasite.

This is why US really really hate Huawei.

Wahaha is also one night stand of Dannone and Chinese.

After gaining Dannone core competency, China start to operate a set of parallel companies, and hollow out Dannone joint venture. Chinese court support Wahaha.

Eventually Dannone cash out.

This is quasi confiscation on China style.

There are many many many cases......etc

Sadly Xiaomi doesn’t know about it. Neither those who are setting up businesses here. Only @etylo knows about this secret mission of India.

Mighty @etylo declares Indian laws as robbing when companies don’t comply with them.

The joint venture model, it is a way for China to get knowledge, skills, and experience from abroad.

That is why China will kick these companies when there is nothing left to learn.

This is a smart strategy

I call a spade a spade.

That's American report on Chinese, anything good can be expected ? What's the Chinese side of the story, apparently happened in 2009, what's the burning now ? Don't try to make the look that SG and the West are all that innocent.

@Cheepek @Skull and Bones I feel someone’s arse is burning up...
Iphones made in India have localisation of ~15% as of today.
And we have just started.

To put into perspective, this is how China started.

No one ever claimed India is going to "replicate China", delusional lungi hears some sounds inside his brain and starts the same tldr; bakwaas everywhere.

The Chinese want to learn/steal fishing skills from others.
Indians want to take fish from others.

The Chinese method is cunning.
The Indian method is cruel.

Both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages.

It seems the Indian method is not good in the long run.

Time will answer.

Yeah, only you Vietnamese are good all the time then, lol ? always shit on others to make you feel great.

Not sure where you were hiding when Singapore was investing in China.
In the womb?
Even the Chinese would admit Singapore was a significant contributor in its initial opening. Our government seconded our former Finance Minister to advice China on the development of its coastal economic zones after Deng met Lee Kuan Yew.
So all of China's SEZ have Singapore input.
Gwadar is important to China, but certainly not for Singapore.
The Pakistan army preference for China and stonewalling Singapore was instrumental in why Singapore could not do anything in Gwadar port.

Most probably while you were hiding in the womb, we, Singaporeans were carrying TVs, refrigerators to their hometowns in China, in addition to building schools and universities.

In China, Tan developed key educational institutions such as Xiamen University (also known as Amoy University) in Fujian. He established the university in 1921 as a private university and maintained it for the next 16 years. A strong advocate of education, he believed education was the key to preparing the young for the demands of a modern society.

You seem to be trying to build animosity between China and Singapore.
So how much you getting from the 500 million $USD from the USAGM.

There are many shameless dogs, who love China, hate the West, but still like to live in the West, make money from the West and curse the West.

Canada should deport these 50 cent dogs to China, so that these dogs have a chance to eat Chinese shit.:enjoy:
